Hello, I have a rig whit 4 rx480 and 1 r9 390x ... what is the best amd driver for this rig? I have a problem whit amd driver afther 24 hours of mining rx480 error code 43 on win10 64bit ... why? Thanks for help me
Hi, latest (2017) radeon drives does not support modified vbios cards. either use 16.11.3 version (no need) or uninstall driver with DDU, reboot and then install latest relive driver 17.5.2, DON'T REBOOT Download this atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5 (GOOGLE IT) Run, it'll ask patch, choose YES. Now reboot, enjoy code-43 free mining.

So I just built another rig. Same as all the others. Windows 10, Claymore 9.3 etc... Except on this build Claymore will not run! It starts, id's cards, gets to something about OpenCL and stops. No errors. Just ends.
HERES THE KICKER!
If I use NiceHash miner Claymore works just fine!
WTH?
So Claymore 3rd party app thru NH miner works fantastic.
Claymore stand-a-lone fails every time. Even if I try to run it from the NH directory as a stand-a-lone it fails
What the heck is up lol.
Did I forget some .net thing? Don't think so but I must of missed something somewhere.
Thanks for any help

You know, you can easily check logs right? something like: 1495552799_log.txt just open with notepad and check what does it say, perhaps copy/paste here.

it seems nothing wrong, no idea why it does exit? perhaps add @pause
end of Start.bat or whatever you're using to start claymore, so perhaps you can see reason of crash on screen instead of logfile.

Hey can anyone help me. Im new to mining ETH and I have tried with claymore (the latest) and genoil miner. I have a 280x at 1070MHz and whatever I do I can't get it over 13.58 MH/s. What am I doing wrong? ?? My system is win8.1 x64, amd crymson 15.12, 16 GB ram and an AMD 8350. Here are the settings in the .bat file of the genoil. I have no clue what is what but please help me understand what's going on. I think i should be getting closer to 20 MH/s? The gpu is sitting below 60 C at all times, although whatever i do in crimson's overdrive i cannot change the clock speeds of anything, only the fan speed....... setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 1000 -G -S eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -FS eth-eu2.nanopool.org:9999 -O wallet_address.280X/email@mail.com

Is there any way to have claymore dual ignore the intergrated grapics (a10 with intergrated r7 gpu)
I want to use the intergrated as a display and not mine with it, and only mine with the 4x rx 470s I have in there. I no other miners have options to disable mining of certain gpus.. any help would be grouse

Hi Claymore
could you give a hint on how to read value given by API {"method":"miner_getfile", "params":["config.txt"]} It's either encrypted or encoded
Simple hex-encoded, for example, string data "3031" means two bytes: 48 and 49.

Just tried that. Same results. Nothing logged or on screen. A real mystery.

Why can't I push my system harder? I have an open air case, H81 BTC v.2 motherboard, celeron processor, 8 gb ram, (6) XFX RX480 8GB Black Edition Cards, 2 power supplies. I have modded my bios copying the 1750 timing strap to the 2000. The max I can get per card is 27 mb/s for a total of 162 mb/s. There is a big difference in profit per year at 162 mb/s vs. 180 mb/s. I am using Claymore ver. 9.3 on Windows 10. The AMD Driver version is 16.12.2. Whenever I move my core clock past 1150 or the memory clock past 1950 the miner crashes within the hour. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Brian

That's what I read too, in multiple forums. Doing so increased my Mb/s from 24 to 27. What do you suggest instead xleejohnx? I would like to be at 30 mb/s and as I stated, I can't get there.

Is Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12 a requirement for Claymore v9.3 to get best results? Or do current Catalyst v17 drivers offer any benefit?
Seeing that the original post was made in 2016 not sure if its a requirement or driver versions were not update...
no its not a requirement and you cant even use those drivers with the newer cards.. i just use the newest one, seems ok.

I am using simplemining and trying to mine to ethermine I tried to switch one rig to zcash and buggered everything up. So I'm starting from scratch. I switched this: -wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 To this: -wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 And it's definitely NOT right, will somebody please help me get this back correctly?!

Simple hex-encoded, for example, string data "3031" means two bytes: 48 and 49. LOL - Why I didn't think of that. Thank you. Anyway in miner_getstat1 could you include the current active WORKER, currently only show active POOL
