Hey so I just set a up a 4 gpu mining Rig. 1 r9 380, 2 gtx 970s, and a gtx 1060.
Im currently getting a 67 M/hs and I believe it should be much higher. The gtx 1060 mining alone produces 18-20 m/h yet when mining with the group only 10m/h?

Suggestions Im quite new obviously but learn quick.

I have strange problem that requires several reboots to resolve. My rig works fine good for days. But my location sometimes has issues with power outages. I start my rig after power recovers, however one of the gpus hashing less than usual rate (26.3 or 13 instead of 29.3 modded rate). To fix this, I need to reboot my rig several times. At first try I lose one or two gpus. I reseat their risers and problem resolved.

Then I start my rig and this time, everything is great. Problem repeats every time whenever a power outage occurs.

Any suggestions?

I would invest in a UPS maybe? If the outages are short you're probably good. If they're longer than the UPS battery will stand at least it will shut the system down correctly. Not sure why one of your gpus would show that behavior though.

I've thought about that. Actually I have  1kVA online UPS but out of battery. And I don't think it will provide enough power.

Hi,

What drivers are recommended for RX 480s and Ubuntu 16 with this miner?

I'm running the amdgpu-pro 17.10 drivers with Claymore 9.4 (solo mining ETH) and only seeing ~22mh/s per card...

Thanks!

My current Rig
Sapphire r9 380x 20 m/h
Gtx 970 18-20 M/h
gtx 970 18-20 m/h
gtx 1060 11 m/h (Was at 20 but decided to halve for unknown reasons.)
1300 watt evga gold rated

Whats next? I know that I can tweak them to get more m/hs just dont know where to start. Anyone point me in the right driection?  Or if anyone has clues to why one of my cards satrting mining at half m/s that would be great.

I have a new setup on Windows 10 Pro and I'm getting terrible hashrates running 1070's. I have tried running 1 GPU and multiple GPUs with the same result. My other setup running the same Claymore settings runs fine, 28-29 Mh/s.
https://i.imgur.com/pHZTxR2.jpg

For some reason, the power consumption is only running about half of what it should be, and obviously temps indicate that the card isn't even trying.

Any suggestions? A few algorithms benchmark pretty slow in Nicehash, but some of them run at expected speeds (Lbry and Lyra primarily).

Intel Pentium G4560
Asus GTX 1070 Dual OC x 3 (directly plugged into MB)

Anyone having issues when the miner reboots due to a GPU having an open cl issue?

From time to time this happens and when the miner is restarted automatically its stuck at doing dags or something and never gets mining again..

After my last reboot my last log file was this and it never moved forward.

I have noticed when I kill the actual window in windows and click the bat file again it works.

@Claymore is their a way for it to completely kill the window and wait a few secs before launching again.  I believe on some hangs this would help out.

So Claymore is the only dual miner available? 2 percent fee is a joke, so I kind of wish to get rid of it. This guy is richer than Richie Rich, little reason for him not to make it 1 or even 0,5%
I can't stand moguls, raised by hippies, so I rather lose 1%, than support a selfish person 2%

But hey if there is another dual miner that would be great.

Thanks for the great work! Always love it.

Question:

It seems while dual mining Sia coin Blake (2b), the hashrate of Ethereum(ETH) will drop for around 17%,
compared to dual mining Decred Blake (14r) there's no drop on Ethereum(ETH) hashrate, is this expected behavior?

Tested on Linux/Windows with different rigs, all have this issue.

Cheers,

Trooper

This is Claymore's forum, not the best place to complain. You won't get much support in this thread.
Just sayin.

I just bought an AMD RX 580 for mining purposes, but I can't get Windows to recognize the video card! I'm running Windows 8.1 because Windows 10 will just force restart your PC with updates which makes it unsuitable for a mining rig. But I noticed that AMD doesn't have a driver for Windows 8.1, just for Windows 7/10. I downloaded and installed the latest Catalyst for Windows 7 and it installed fine, but my video card still doesn't show up under windows. Has anyone else gotten an RX 5xx card working with Windows 8.1?

Hi guys,

I just trying to mining dual eth+sc with my gtx 1060 and I got about 20 mh/s and 130mh/s.

Eth mining speed is normal, but is SC speed normal? I think its very low, whattomine say 990 mh/s

Thanks

I greet everyone, very interesting information they exchange in the forum. My query is if I can use in the same rigs to mine, the radeon rx 460 and the nvidia gtx 1050ti.

Thank you.

the answer is yes, Claymore miner will recognize both AMD and NVIDIA cards.

btw, what ETH MHs are you getting for 1050ti ?

You won't get full mining speed for the second coin when dual mining. If you want full SC speed, use a solominer.

That said, you can maximize your efficiency by playing with the -/+ keys in the runtime which will change your -dcri value. Hit "S" for stats and you can find your best ratio.

hello, Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 bug, not connet servers ethermine pool

Bug is somewhere else Smiley Please open ethermine.org in browser and read "How to Connect" help section, there is no "-esm 2" option there...

Anyone having issues when the miner reboots due to a GPU having an open cl issue?
From time to time this happens and when the miner is restarted automatically its stuck at doing dags or something and never gets mining again..
I have noticed when I kill the actual window in windows and click the bat file again it works.
@Claymore is their a way for it to completely kill the window and wait a few secs before launching again.  I believe on some hangs this would help out.

1. Often when OpenCL fails, you have to reboot the system, not just restart miner. Sometimes even soft reboot won't work and you have to press Reset button. It is because the fail is at drivers level, Windows does not like such things and drivers too.
2. Miner cannot kill itself, then wait a few seconds and start itself again. Because it needs to be running to start anything. But you can create some .BAT file for it, for example, you can wait and start miner again in reboot.bat if you use "-r 1" option.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Guys, did you experience that if you restart the miner from Ethman in the most cases (8 from 10 times) the miner freeze/crash on the rig? Is it a known bug or I'm the lame? Smiley

I don't know if any of you guys use Awesome Miner to manage your rigs, but it works great especially if you mine with NiceHash.

New release seems to be working fine for me.  Not getting much of a performance improvement but stability seems fine for my rigs.  Running R9 290 and 290x's.

I don't use Nicehash, I mine directly with Claymore's dual miner.
