Claymore - When "s" is pressed for information can you add shares found per GPU? I know it doesn't really matter but I think it would be interesting to see if one is finding more shares than the other over time.

Hello mining community,

I would like to ask for some help. Recently bought a mining rig 6x RX 480

I am using Biostar TB85 motherboard, 12 GB RAM, EVGA 1300w, 120ssd, intel celeron 2x2.8GHz, windows 10 64.


I have this problem. On minute after I start claymore miner hashrate on one card drop to 0 and I get report - GPU hangs in opencl call - Need to restart miner.

I am searching for solution for couple of days already.

- I tried different GPU drivers, if I try to install 17.3 or 17.4 crimson computer crash.

- Virtual memory is on 16GB.

- If I start a miner without this card which lost hashrate then same thing happen to other 5 cards, hashrate drop to 0 on all 5 cards.

- I reinstall windows and all drivers, still same issue

- I switch cables and cards, nothing positive happen.

- tried other miners, pools, old version of claymore miner..

- tried function -gser -eser

Tried probly everything i could find on google, still no solution. Not sure if that is specific problem of motherboard, graphic card? other parts are more or less standard mining parts and probly have nothing to do with that problem.

Hop someone can help or give any proposition what should I do or try.

It is because you did not set your virtual memory. Go into system, advanced settings and change virtual memory to 16000MB like the program tells you to do if you are mining on multiple cards. If you don't do that you get the Open CL hang error, the miner tries to restarts and it just hangs.

Since yesterday I started to get also hang on OpenCL. And I have set virtual memory to 32000MB, so it should be far enough. Have no idea what is causing it. I am trying now the problematic GPU to run on higher stock voltages on core and mem to see if it helps.

This info can be useful only if miner is working for >100 hours, for shorter periods values will be almost random and you will think that something is bad with some card and ask why...
I will add it and I will refer to this message every time when someone asks me that question

I didnt read quite good the thread I suppose json format is good enough for me to locate weak GPU in the rig.
Actually i suspect one weard card in my rig and i'd like to know which is it in my identical 6*280x rig ( by the shares count).

I set virtual memory to 24000MB. What types of things will cause this to happen and how can I prevent it in the future?

These two cards are PowerColor RX 480 Red Dragon 4GB. I also have an MSI Armor RX 470 8GB in another machine and it does not have a bios switch either. All have Samsung memory.

YOU CAN DUAL MINE WITH TWO DIFFERENT POOLS--

You will need a BitCoin address for mining Decred on NiceHash.  The instructions on the first page should be enough.        --scryptr

No, coinmine is mining pool. You are payed in cryptocurrency you are mining. I was mining few weeks there, but I think they are stealing some hashrate, lower profits then on other pool. But its on you to decide and try..

No, coinmine is mining pool. You are payed in cryptocurrency you are mining. I was mining few weeks there, but I think they are stealing some hashrate, lower profits then on other pool. But its on you to decide and try..

I'm not sure if they do steal hashrate, I haven't tried to mine at other pools yet except nicehsh that really takes to much fees, I mined for 9 days on coinmine.pl and made 0.627 DCR and on whattomine.com I see the calculated possible to make 0.6615 with my current hashrate of 1712 MH/s so I don't think they do.

I have 10 rigs at 4 locations with the same Isp.  I have 9 other locations are configured exactly the same with claymore 9.3 and have different Isp's. They are working fine. The 10 with the same Isp give me this output. Is this a coincidence or a port blocked by an isp or something more. It just started in the middle of the night.

@nedrah I had the same problem. Try making an exception in your firewall. Or, disable Norton.
