Question on power usage.

Dual mining Etherium + Decred on an RX480 I am seeing about 160-watts per card draw for 26 mH Eth and 790 mH Decred.

Calculated by using a Killawatt strip and subtracting idle power from the total draw divided by two (two cards).

Does this seem normal ?

I have the Core clock set down to 1000 and memory up to 2150 on these cards.

I have not taken the BIOS mod plunge just yet.

Hi everyone how would I go about monitoring 2 rigs on one windows so I can see my "global" hash rate on one machine, I now have 2 rigs and I am just wondering as I have seen some screen shots of people using more than one machine and the hashrate showing up on one window.

Can someone actually tell me how to use this miner? Like...there is no proper guide for it...cant even figure how to run it.

1.- Download from Mega
2.- Uncompress to a specific folder
3.- Edit your start.bat
4.- Double click on start.bat and thats it

Examples of start.bat on OP. For more complex config use config file. I am running one r9 390 at 32.3 totally stable at -dcri 31

I have a spare 6 pin sata port on my EVGA supernova modular PSU.  If I buy a 6 pin male to 6 pin male modular cable, can I plug that into my PCIE riser to power it safely?

I really need an answer to this if anybody could help
You can but power of it is same as SATA.And many connections are not good idea. Best is to cut wires and make it directly to 6 PIN

That's what I intend to do.  I was just worried that the spare 6 pin socket on the PSU says SATA  and I will be plugging it into a PCIE graphics card riser.

In the claymore folder click on the "remote manager" folder.

There is a program in their called EthMan. This is the program that allows you to monitor all your Claymore rigs.  You just need to know their ip addresses. By default you can only "monitor" them but if you change the settings you can do things like remotely change their configurations.

Anyone have a stable mod'd bios for the MSI rx 470 8g Armour card that they would be willing to share with me?  I read about people getting the mem clocks up to 2100 mhz, but any time I go over 1850 mhz my cards trip out.  I am stuck at 22-23 mh/s and I know people are getting 27+ with the right bios and set up.  I would appreciate any help in this area.  Thanks.

Mine is modded but I only run it at 1880 MHz for stability. It hashes at just under 27MH/s ETH and about 215MH/s PASC in dual mining mode. Do you have Samsung memory? The mods are memory dependent. If you have Samsung send me a PM and I can send you my VBIOS later.

Is it possible to assign different pools (or coins) to specific GPUs in a rig?
For example, GPU1 for ETH pool and GPU2 for ETC pool.

Not in a single instance of the miner. The miner can only use one Ethereum based pool and one of the dual mode coins for all of the cards. However, you can specify which cards to use and then start a second miner instance to mine at a different pool for another card not being used in the first.

Create 2 bat files for 2 instance. Add -di 0 in first file bat and add -di 1 in second file. Create another bat file if u want 3 instance and add -di 3 in the file.
I used multiple instance to try dcri settings for each card.

I can't use claymore commands to change clocks or voltages without it crashing. I got it working on a 6gpu rx570 setup. But not a 4gpu rx580 setup.

Things I've tried. Full reload of windows.
install drivers by extracting and pointing to that folder. I don't use the actual installer. Have also tried the installer.
DDU.
No afterburner.
no anything.
Tried disabling hdmi and sound options

Something is still holding control of the mem and gpu clocks. When I do use afterburner it all works fine. But if its just windows. Driver and claymore 9.3 it crashes when I change clocks. What's still holding my gpu hostage that I somehow eliminated with my other build. Please help. This has always haunted me.

Hi Claymore,

I have two rigs on ethOS 1.2.1 with your miner 9.3 Linux version. But in terminal do not work shortcut +/- for -dcri adjustment. Is it working on Linux or I have something wrong ?
Now I mining ETH-only mode but I want to try dual mode with DCR or PASCAL.

Thnx

I have 2 rigs now on ethOS. Today I decide to make another 4 rigs on ethOS all with Claymore miner exactly. I have combinet electricity, solar panels about 6-7kW (maybe I add next 2-3kW this year) and pay electricity for about 0,15 EUR/kW.
But I do not find on stores some good RX480 8GB (XFX, Sapphire,...) and I need 24pcs for 4 rigs. Do you have some tips where to find them or they are sold out ?
If yes, what to buy ?     RX570, RX580 or RX470 ?
RX5xx series have 1x 6 pin and 1x 8 pin power supply, which PSU is best for 6 card in one rig ?

 Huh Huh Huh

thnx for help

Hey claymore can you add on json console retun also array of cards that make invalid share ? then will be more easy find the wrong card to fix it alias downclock.

example card #3 make 5 invalid share then if i have 6 cards
{[0,0,0,5,0,0]}

Cause i can't stay on monitor all day to check or check logs.

I can't seem to get the -mvddc option to work on RX570 series on Windows 10.
At the start the miner sais its an unknown switch/option.

The -cvddc, -cclock, -mclock work fine on the other hand.

That is because the command(s) in the bat file is incorrect. If you share what you have in the file we can advise what needs to be fixed to start mining.
