Trying Clay 10.2 will see how it goes. 10.1 was highly unstable and unusable..

A clean Windows install+FCU, AMD 17.11.2 and Claymore's v.10.1 is the most stable setup I have ever had. 1 month now with no problems at all

Btw, 17.11.4 got released, did anyone try it out?

Thanks all for the help with Claymore config file examples.

I got it running with Win 10 1709 (FCU) + Claymore 10.2 + AMD 17.11.4
All running smooth.

PS. there is no change from Beta drivers + Clay 10.0 + Win 10 1703. So the down time is not worth it. I will keep my other miner on the old setup.

You may look at your task manager to check your cpu, memory, hdd utilization, you may find application or processes that may caused it, you may also kill those unwanted process if there's any

Yeah, i already did that, the only thing that works is killing the miner task.

Try to Limit the CPU usage of miner .exe, I guess it does not affect the mining performance when you do this.

Hi, Is there something wrong with the late teamviewer versions alongside the most recent windows 10 version? Claymore becomes stuck at "start building OpenCL program for GPU 0..."  if I am logged on with teamviewer. If I am not logged on it starts mining as normal. Once I logon GPU 0 Hangs in open cl and miner continue with the rest of the cards. Thats ofcourse because I have  -wd 0 and -r -1. Otherwise everything works very well until you connect with teamviewer. Is there any setting to be changed?

It's hardware-related issue, drivers report wrong temperature, usually it means that this GPU is not stable. Check its riser, OC, PSU.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

What about:

Code:
14:51:23:183	1e90	Temperature control thread hangs, need to restart miner!
14:51:25:355 1e90 Restarting OK, exit...

This appeared only for 10.2. I've never seen it on older versions on the exact same OS, drivers, updates, OC.
So it's something with this 10.2...

Hi

I'm having the same problem with 10.2, with version 10.1 it does not happen to me.

I am currently using the 10.1 and all stable for 75 hours

Check OP or History.txt:

Latest version is v10.2:
...
- in rare cases ADL API calls can hang, now watchdog checks it as well.
...

So v10.1 could not restart due to ADL API problems, watchdog did not check it. Moreover, both watchdog and temperature control works in same thread in v10.1 so if ADL hangs, watchdog hangs too and fails to restart miner even if some GPU fails after it. It was fixed in v10.2, now temperature control works in separate thread.
If you think that watchdog works incorrectly, you can PM me the log file and I will check it.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Hi everyone - first time posting to the forum but been reading the threads for quite a number of months.  I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I have a 7 GPU rig made up of (5) GTX 1060's and (2) RX470's.  My RX470's are giving me very low hashrates.  They fluctuate between 12 mh/s and 18 mh/s.  Here is my configuration.  Any thoughts?

AMD RX470 Strix Gaming 4GB - Hynix Chips

Windows 10 1709 all updates applied
swap file 20GB
Dual Miner 10.2 ETH+SIA
AMD 17.11.4 drivers +DAG Patch (Previously had blockchain, no change in speed)
Compute mode on
MSI Afterburner V4.4

Any thoughts on what I can change to get more consistent and higher rates?

Note: My 1060 are consistent at 23 mh/s

So in fact is there a chance that central and local monitoring system could mess up mining process ?
On local monitoring there's two triggers: first restarts the miner in 5 minutes if hashrate is below x and second restarts the pc in 10 minutes if hashrate is still below x

I switched from 10.0 directly to 10.2 and now I see both API calls in log file

plus some of the rigs have gone offline at the same time, I'm pretty sure it's the monitoring issue (?)

I love Decred.

Tip:
I mine Decred using Claymore's with Ethereum, seeing ETH and investing in PoS mining that yield about 1.8% every 28 days:
https://docs.decred.org/mining/proof-of-stake

Wink

I also do that and I'm getting richer and richer.

When I moved the GPU to different PC it doesn't show that issue anymore. I have rolled back to v9.8. And this GPU has been mining stable for almost 2 years now. I have tried different risers (almost 20 different risers).

Now that rig has been upgraded to Win 1709, ADM 17.1.4.
If this will appear again I will PM you with complete logs.

what does this tell you? - test different PCI-E slot, test different GPU in the same slot, check BIOS settings for that slot...

Can someone help me with the command line for dwarfpool.

I am mining only eth and I'm located in EU.

Should i write this: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal (my ETH wallet) -epsw x -allcoins -1

Is this correct?

This is the setting I used for Dwarfpool. I have not used Dwarfpool for sometime now but I'm sure nothing has changed in that time (still keep all my old settings just in case I decide to use it again).

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_MAX_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

NsGpuCNMiner -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0xd7236c7bB066725C33DAE910A947aE40D565B66E -p x -esm 2 -epsw x -allpools 1 -allcoins 1 -ftime 10

EDIT: Oops! This is my Cryptonote settings for Claymore 9.7 (something else screwed up there - it's too early) my bad Smiley
