How is it possible, that going from ETH single mining to ETH+DCR dual, my ETH hashrate increased as well? I have 3x rx570 and 1x rx460, and am getting 99,3Mh ETH and 1650Mh DCR. -dcri 5,30,30,30.

my problem with 10.2 is the "Temperature control thread hangs, need to restart the miner!" error, both on my 2 rigs, never encounter this error on previous versions...
I also have this problem. There is screenshot:

I'm about to get started GPU mining and I was wondering if double mining is still worth it and what pair would be the best to mine with 1070s?

You are missing "-epsw x"
Nanopool has a config generator for the Claymore miner, just click on "Quick Start" and it will create one for you. This is what I get and it works, just put in your details into the grenerator.

Thanks Smiley
EDIT
Found in nanopool site

However in nanoool site the  example is:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal YOUR_ETH_ADDRESS/YOUR_WORKER_NAME/YOUR_EMAIL -mode 1

Most pools (at least the ones you don't need to register with) just ignore the password, so Nanopool must just ignore the whole "-epsw x" completely.
Both configs with/without "-epsw x" work fine on Nanopool but other pools may need, at least, the "-ewsp" switch. I always put "-ewsp x" in the config so I've not come across any pools that work without it.

10.2 seems to be reporting time values as negative numbers now.

In the console, the elapsed time figures are negative figures.

Example:

For an elapsed time of 2 hours and 30 minutes it shows as follows on 10.1 and 10.2:

10.1    2:44
10.2   -2:-44

The numbers are the correct amounts, but they are negative now.

3rd party apps for Android etc. don't know what to do with that, so they just show an elapsed time of 0.

Have those values been changed to negative numbers on purpose or is this a small bug in 10.2 ?

Return question - WHY?
Why upgrade or update windows? especialy on mining rig? It works good - leave it as it is!
Updates wont give you hasgrate increase. Honestly speaking you wont see any difference at all. You have about 70% of seeng new problems instead of any improvements..

Trying Clay 10.2 will see how it goes. 10.1 was highly unstable and unusable..

Yeah agreed, however you also don't want to leave any OS vulnerabilities open on your always connected machine.

I am using 10.2, same issue older versions so I do not believe that it has anything to do with a particular release.

At this point, I am suspecting an issue with TeamViewer since somebody else on the forum has reported a similar issue.

I got everything working by plugging in a switched off monitor so its all good at the moment, however I will try disabling TeamViewer next time I am on site (the miner is in a remote location) to see if that makes any difference.

you might mean "Dual Mining", just to let you know that dual mining will add extra stress on your card and a bit power usage, you can mine with ETH-Sia, ETH-LBRy in Claymore, you could also try other algos supported by miners. Others don't really advise dual mining as it might lessen GPU's life. its really up to you.

Hi, Is there something wrong with the late teamviewer versions alongside the most recent windows 10 version? Claymore becomes stuck at "start building OpenCL program for GPU 0..."  if I am logged on with teamviewer. If I am not logged on it starts mining as normal. Once I logon GPU 0 Hangs in open cl and miner continue with the rest of the cards. Thats ofcourse because I have  -wd 0 and -r -1. Otherwise everything works very well until you connect with teamviewer. Is there any setting to be changed?

bump, this is really bugging me on 2 different miners with latest version of windows (1709 fall 2017 update) I am still uncertain if its windows, teamviewer or claymore miner at fault.

I have been seeing similar issues with GPU 0 after I upgraded to the latest Win release. I did a lot of troubleshooting but did not think to disable TeamViewer (I will try it when I get a chance to see if it makes any difference). A workaround that worked for me was to plug in a monitor into the DVI port on the GPU 0. The monitor did not even need to be powered on for it to work (plugged in power but in standby mode). Not 100% sure if it is going to work for you but might be worth giving it a try.

.........

@Claymore, anyway you could add a setting that stops dual mining if a set temperature is reached? For example, if I set "ttdcr 75" it will keep reducing the intensity as the temperature rises and I think it will only stop dual mining when it reaches 90 Celsius. If I set "ttdcr 65" then I think it will stop dual mining only when it reached 80 Celsius however from 65 to 80 it will lower the intensity. So I'm requesting if you can do something to stop dual mining if a set temperature is reached and return back to normal if the temperature is lower than the set temperature. So basically this setting would just automatically set main mining or dual mining based on a set temperature.

Your card probably have 1gb of DDR, don`t waste your time you don`t have enough memory to mine ethereum and not a single shit coin could be worth mining with this. Upgrading Gpu is the only option.

Hello,

I dont know if you can help me but I have a problem with my RX 580 radeon pulse under window 10. When I launch claymore I have 22 Mhs with a memory clock of 2000Mhz. However when I overlock the 580 with afterburner to 2100Mhz or higher the Mhs does not change and stay at 22. it is really strange because I can overlock my 1060 with not problems.

Do you know what the issue could be? Or do you know where I can find the answer?

Thanks a lot in advance Smiley

I've see that if I don't change the memory straps... search around that concept, it is a FAQ.
increasing frequency while not changing memory timings is like accelerating your car in a city, while the traffic light don't change timing, small effect.

This is probably because of the driver you have installed.

If you are running in Windows 10 you MUST install the AMD Crypto mining BETA driver if you want to get your hashrate up to around 27 to 30 MH/s on a 580.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-[Suspicious link removed]pute-Release-Notes.aspx

I had the exact same problem. I had the latest Catalyst Crimson drivers installed and I couldn't get higher than 22 MH/s, no matter what I did.

Then I uninstalled those drivers with DDU, and installed the AMD Crypto Mining BETA drivers, and I was immediately able to get 31 MH/s, but with some errors. After some fine tuning I can now get 28 MH/s on every RX580 in my rigs, with zero errors.

It's the driver.

With the crimson relive drivers post Oct 24th you need to switch to compute workload by Right click > AMD settings > Gaming > Global settings > change GPU workload to Compute instead of Graphics.
Need to do this for all gpu individually.  You would get same hashrate as the blockchain drivers.

Review in Gpu-z if your clock and mem are really changed.
Maybe you have - memclock on your config or your bat. Or you have a wrong AB version

Need to do this for all gpu individually.  You would get same hashrate as the blockchain drivers.

Hi guys, I had the special driver just as bellow but I was block to 22. I tried the last driver and i used the Compute instead of Graphics option but it changed nothing even with 2150 i get 22. Any other idea?

Hi,

I am also getting the error:
Temperature control thread hangs, need to restart miner!

It happens about every 20 to 40 minutes.

Its definitely not an AMD driver issue as suggested above because I use NVIDIA cards.

I have 4 rigs, 2 NVIDIA, 2 AMD, this only happens on my larger NVIDIA Rig. Have reverted to 10.0 for now on the rig with the problem until its fixed.
