24h ETC volume on Poloniex breached 100k BTC (that's 60-something million USD).

Not sure what's the all-time record but this the highest I've ever seen.

Pretty sure it's the highest too. Not even the dump from the DAO caused this much volume.  Shocked

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

They're not accepting any new miners but your stats page should work (but not the home page).

my preference is the 7970 or 280x. although the 290(non x) gives 30 mh/s

Do know if the ETC balances were granted to ETH holders on poloniex, who were lending all of the coins when the "gift" was sent out?
I guess that happened to me.

I've asked the Poloniex support about my ETH placed in lending at the fork time and got the answer:

"When you loan funds, you forfeit possession and control to a borrower in exchange for a debt owed to you. If your funds were on loan when the fork occurred, whoever was in possession of them at that time received the ETC. This may have been the borrower, or it may have been another trader the borrower sold the ETH to. A trader buying from the borrower may even have withdrawn that ETH from Poloniex before the hard fork."

Thank you basyaru! That is a true pitty - that happened to me too.

R9 380 is quite cheap and does 20 MH/s but I would suggest not to invest in hardware just because ETC is profitable now. Do it only if you have a long term plan on mining.

In order for ETC to remain completely immutable it should ride straight into the difficulty bomb  Smiley
