As i understand, after the fork users have two balances ETC and ETH. If so, the fork made money from air.
The fork made two sets of tokens. Whether there is "money" (i.e. some sort of value) - remains to be seen. So far the cumulative market cap of ETH+ETC isn't really mooning. TY for detailed answer  |

So at the beginning of all of this some whitehats were devs/foundation seems to me they are still bitter lol, free money and they are mad and attacking in the shadows then publicly claiming people are acting as individuals haha, that's like the president putting on a ball cap and robbing a bank, he's acting as an individual you see....these kids just can't handle this, they show they're young and dumb mentality every chance they get. I guess the adults are going to have to take it away and let them cry it out. The difference being we all know the blockchain is not our possession to manipulate, why anyone in eth can't understand that just shows how little experience and respect they have for crypto.

So these are eth_dao_fans dumping all their free etc.  Good let it go, they will regret that sale and we no longer have thoes funds hanging over us. Today will be an interesting day, i may go shopping for some low cost coins, because there will always be a etc chain. If we are the cheaper chain, lower coin price = lower gas fees, they will use etc over eth. It won't be long before dapps start flowwing and maybe a basic visual contract system for us GUI fiends. Get ready Africa, Get ready China, Get ready Russia. This coin will be afordable for everyone because ethereum will have to compete on price. Take a breath and look at things in perspective for a second. Only 3 mil got sent to exchanges. No dump yet (that doesn't mean there won't be one) . But i do want you to consider one possibility: could he have sent those coins to exchange wallets so that the coins are safe from the possibility of our white hat friend getting hacked himself? It's just a theory... until we get more info all we can do is speculate. I just find it interesting that only 3 of the 7 got sent to the exchanges. |

Repaly attack? Have kraken and poloniex made a statment? The amazing thing is that the buy orders increased when the dumping began.. looks like dumping is over and buy orders are strengthening more!! |

You talking about the guys who own a much larger % of ETC than they do ETH ? If you really want to stick it to the ethereum man, then it's better to move to a completely different blockchain application platform. |

I am highly suspicious of the ETC price manipulation that the recent news has created. 1. Before the news was available the buys at Poloniex were 5K 2. After the news the price started going up and buys went to 6k 3. During the dump the ETC was greatly absorbed and buys went to 6.4 k 4. If the hacker sent 2.x million coins to Polo then he must be verified. 5. Polo is aware of the situation so they would know who he is and would freeze his funds until the situation is clarified. 6. If he cashes out (trades) then the hacker could not withdraw the funds from Polo unless he has completed the verification level. IMO it would seem very difficult for the hacker to get away with this if Polo is aware of the situation. My conclusions: 1. If the funds were transferred to Polo and if the funds did not have a rightful owner then Polo would be responsible for allowing the thief to steal the funds. 2. If the funds were transferred to Polo and if the funds have a rightful owner then Polo has no risk.. maybe they belong to a foundation member or whale. In this case ETC price would be under pressure and the market would absorb the coins. 3. Whatever the situation is, it is clear now that ETC is doing really well and has a lot of support from buyers. After all this dumping, the prince has only moved by 9% by 1.8 million coins traded in last 6 hours = 6000 BTC. This value (6000 BTC) represents 26% of the daily volume (22873 BTC).  |
