Tony really shines in the Q&A. The talk is about insurance, but as I've been saying, bets / predictions have the potential to really catalyze the price of Bytes. I've done 4 bets so far on the Betting Bot and won 2. It's a great experience already, but we need better odds / more liquidity, and more bet types. When there are many operators in the Bot Store, it's going to be off to the races.

Aside from being a collector's item, Bitcoin is only really used for gambling afaik. And it's a god-awful, terrible, horrible experience from deposit to cashout when you use Bitcoin in this way. Byteball is the hope!!!

I'm not a gambler, but the combination of gambling and coupon seems to me very promising for a wider spread.
I wish we could put a coupon in every kid's surprise egg and every fortune Cookie  ,
on every beer and cola can (Payback or Recycling Cupon) should be a voucher.

An update about future distribution plans.

So far, bytes were mainly distributed via airdrops to holders of BTC and Bytes, and a relatively small portion was distributed through the cashback program.  We started this free distribution with the purpose of getting the currency as wide spread as possible, and while the purpose stays the same, methods can change.  The airdrop method worked well to get the initial user base, but it also proved to be the least efficient in terms of user acquisition cost.

Over the next few months, we'll add more methods of free distribution.  One of them is already being developed, I expect it to be ready in the first half of December. 

The new methods are designed to grow our user base faster than the money supply.

While the new methods are still untested, it is early to drop the airdrops.  That's why the next round of distribution to Bytes and BTC holders is tentatively planned for the full moon of March 2, 2018.  The rules are the same as in the previous round:

For every 16 BTC you receive 0.1 GB,
For every 1 GB you receive additional 0.1 GB,

and similar rules for blackbytes.

This round can be postponed or even canceled depending on performance of other distribution methods.

It's not rocket science to make confirmations faster with byteball. Transactions are confirmed when witness broadcasts a unit of transactions into the DAG database. To do so witness needs to pay fee for adding data. Witness earns fees from transactions included in the unit payed by users broadcasting transactions itself. When there's not many transactions it's expensive for witness to post new units every 1 or 2 seconds. When there's plenty of transactions witnesses can post units more frequently making confirmations faster.

Conclusion - transactions will be confirmed faster when there's more transactions and witnesses can earn users' fees to post units more frequently.

Yes, I totally agree with you, but which of 1328 coins from coinmarketcap.com can do >100 TPS at this moment except IOTA, Stellar and Ripple? For example, so that the cryptocurrency could compete with VISA and Mastercard.
