2018 will be the year of DAG coins

That's true. It looks like both Byteball and IOTA are awakening and attracting more attention than ever. And when people start researching and find all the advantages of DAG, they have a high chance to become mainstream. Finally.

Sweet $700. USD ATH this week?  Smiley

It is already $720 Smiley
1000$ will be an important milestone, fully deserved by all investors who have survived the ice age of this bear market summer.
Would be well deserved for bytes holders. That was a brutal bear market. Somebody proposed new logo concepts: https://www.reddit.com/r/ByteBall/comments/7knhfv/byteball_new_visual_identity_concept/

I like it.

Agreed. Please use this dev.

That's nice, finally some news article about Byteball again... Byteball is great, it just needs more news presence and marketing in general to get mainstrem. Looks like it's on a good way Smiley

Yeah, it looks like marketing is doing its job, it's been time;)
There is no marketing team.

IOTA may have leapt miles ahead of Byteball in terms of valuation, but there have been negative reviews about its ease of use. I don't see any such issues with Byteball. However, in a speculative market features rarely count.

Isn't byteball better than IOTA on may technical fronts? My concern is that the byteball team does not have the funds or connections to compete with IOTA, any thoughts from someone that knows more about this project?

Byteball team holds 350,000 GB that are planed to be distributed through combination of airdrop, cashback program, and other methods. We are trying to encourage tonych to reserve a bigger portion of that to fund development team going forward rather than giving it *all* away just to be dumped. Current value of those GB is over $200 million. Although tonych controls a big portion of bytes, he has always handled the reserved bytes with great revere and has not misappropriated funds. Main thing to be improved is actually spending more to expand the dev team beyond 3 and possibly add a small public/press relations team besides community volunteers. There is also a community fund.

1. unzip the new wallet files in a new folder
2. go to unzipped byteball-linux64 folder and open a terminal there
3. run ./Byteball command in the terminal

The Byteball wallet is far more user friendly and stable. I've had a number of headaches with the IOTA wallet.

Help airdrop plan to allocate the remaining 350,000 coins? Is there any specific plan? Should leave a large part of the pool to help marketing

What you are worried about is what is happening right now. A coin with a capital injection is destined to fly, a byteball is too expensive, and pulling costs too high

2018 will be the year of DAG coins
True, from my point of view, there is no alternative (or hype will end next year).

If Distributed Ledger Technology ever wants to live up to their expectations, then the DAG is the next candidate.
The BTC Mempool is chock full of stuck transactions, and Crypto Kitties makes Eth sweat.
Not a very convincing performance for a technology that wants to put the established Players to flight.
(Realistically, there is absolutely no chance to meet the future requirements in a timely manner and thus no chance for mass adoption.)
If the history of information technology teaches us something:
*you never have enough memory
*you never have enough computing power
*you can never have enough IP address range
Every forecast requirement has always been beaten by reality.

From my point of view, there will be five topics next year: scalability, scalability, scalability, (energy) efficiency, flexible usability.
