On February 11, to be precise. And yes, you will receive your bytes at the second round of byteball distribution. My advice connect your BTC faster and don't wait for deadlines. Because some kind of problems may be.

you should install the wallet and move your Bytes. otherwise cryptox will get the Bytes you're waiting for. maybe they distribute them to the users, maybe not. you don't have your one wallet on an Exchange.

If I send a byteball on the exchange to a wallet, will I be charged 1TB if I send 1TB? Is it the same when I send the byteball on the wallet to the exchange?

Maybe you should ask grzem, the admin of cryptox, he is also available on Slack, and don't forget about the blackbytes . I would say that there's a high chance you'll receive the bytes and a higher chance you won't receive the blackbytes ... Moving bytes to your own wallet on a linked address remains the best solution.

The wallet has many addresses, both are okay and you have control over both and over any address your wallet used in the past. Which adress should i pay BTC?
If you mean where to send the micropayment to link a BTC address, then the transition bot tells you everything. To link, you have to chat with it, go to byteball.org and click on transition bot, it will get paired with your device, the bot will give you instructions to link your address. If you are talking about something else, can you please clarify?

A solution already exists, exchange your dumb btc for byte with the byteball wallet which has integrated btc-byte exchange. Byteball has support for smart contracts so peer-to-peer trading should also be possible, without "exchanges".
I see you are a very active member of Byteball community. This reminds me of one guy who earned reputation in another community to scam everyone later. Your modus operadi matches that guy on 99%. Could you tell more about yourself, please? You see, I do not even notice you around or care about you at all.

Nope you won't be charged 1TB for sending 1TB, the fees equal the size of the transaction on the network not the sent amount. You always pay fees whenever you do a transaction.

"The 3rd and subsequent rounds (yet to be announced) will follow similar rules, but the relative weight of bytes vs. BTC in the 3rd and further rounds will change and will gradually increase to 1 BTC=62.5 MB. "
You stated this in the original post. But isn't the second round already 1BTC=62.5MB , so how can it increase to that in further rounds ?

Just want to get this straight..
In the first round I received about 1.3Gbyte for each 1BTC linked.
In the second round I should expect 62.5MB for each 1BTC linked, which is about x20 times lower..
right?

Actually, for the second round 1 BTC is equivalent to 625 MB because 1 BTC gives 62.5 MB, the same as 625 MB would give. In the subsequent rounds, bytes weight will increase (BTC weight will decrease) until 1 BTC grants the same as 62.5 MB. I agree the sentence in the opening post is a bit ambiguous though.

There is a file byteball.sqlite in the appdata\local\byteball which is 315MB currently, that must be the DAG, do I need to back that up too or only the user data (about 35MB) ?

The addresses belong to your wallet.

byteball.sqlite contains data about your wallets, addresses, transactions, paired devices and other stuff, check it out if you can and see what's there . This file should definitely be backed up.

Yes, that's right.
