which price is realistic view in the longterm? i mean it may be inflationary when new byteballs distributed?

In long term it will be more valuable after this distribution price will increase more because their distribution model is really fantastic and majority of the people just holding their bytes for long term.

Until the last few rounds when the sell off probably starts.  The wallet and usability of BB is nothing short of amazing, I just hope it maintains traction post-airdrop.

I dont know if I am the only one facing this problem, but since days I am unable to download the latest 1.8.2 from https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases/download/v1.8.2/Byteball-win64.exe which seems to be stored on the amazon aws s3 servers.

It get stucked after a few MB downloading, first download rate is dropping till zero > then download is canceled.

I tried it from several devices using different browsers yet, is there any other mirror?

The idea of giving 100Kb to the first 100million people could be an unbelievable leg up to BB and other crytpos....if we can make 100Kb worth enough to incentivise people.  That would be an accomplishment the team could actually say they changed the world for the better.

So in one of those ways that being selfish helps others as a side effect, I hope the price continues to do very very well.

Does IOTA or Byteball share any of their codebase from each other?
Not even a single line.

Iota is basically a scam, or vaporware, very big promises and little deliveries. See latest events where a few people who had bought iotatokens lost them because they failed to "claim" their tokens again.

Byteball is in livenet/production while iota is still developer-preview/beta only, hence consensus is decided by milestone-databases.

This is incorrect, both projects are quite promising.

K, so you're selling, doesn't mean everyone else will cause you want them too lol

And ppl who follow this project, can obv see that it's one if not only, that's maintained it's ATH while BTC has been hitting new ATH as well  Roll Eyes  plus there isn't even significant volume for ppl to exit easily without crashing the price... proficient traders would exit slowly if they want to sell their coins from the airdrop not to affect, unlike you that clearly wants to dump

Sorry tonych or anyone else I moved 500M blackbytes from my laptop to the android wallet (both light clients). Now I am trying to send them to a new light wallet on laptop but the android wallet shows me this error:

http://prnt.sc/f5mb1u

Any help on how to solve this?

Are you running the latest version 1.8.2?

Yes 1.8.2 on both win and android.I first moved from pc and it took 10 hours or so to show in the android wallet.I think I had an internet outage or something else while sending from android and in the tx history I can see the bytes spent for the tx fee but bb are still there and if I try to re send them the wallet show the error I posted.

This error happens if you try to use the same keys (same seed) on more than one device.

Just hope but I don't think it will drop as per your imagination. Now a days people are most smart and they know the real value of this tech it will keep rising to the moon and I think only hold is the best option in current situation.

Yes, I think that is exactly the goal..

Start-up credits for new customers are a first-rate and proven marketing concept (often tested at banks and in the mobile phone business).
This is incredibly effective to stimulate people to activity (almost as good as interest rates Smiley
It makes much sense as turbo for the real world transition.
step 1: The unique distribution method blows the byteball seed into the whole world (We are working on this).
step 2: The 1% / 100m giveaway is the rain for the seed to rise.
If this scale is successful, the marketing is self-reinforcing..
It's simple, but damn clever.

When (reasonably) to start?
The value of the start credit can be calculated:
market capitalization * 1%/100,000,000 -> 45,500,000 *0.01/1E8 = 0.0045 Dollar
No one will be enthusiastic about this small benefit. (At the same time, however, this give away makes a lot of work..)
Even with compound interest rates, this will not be attractive (0.0045*1.1^13=0.015 Dollar). Besides, Tony certainly has no time. For limited resources, tony must have clear priorities.

I Think: When you should / can  start with this scale depends on the target group.
As target group I would see children, youngsters and potential users from the second and third World (small amounts have a sufficient value there).
Moreover, the structures are hardened in the rich industrialized countries..
Rich old people are very comfortable / lazy and conservative - this can not be the (primary) target group.

The starting balance should be between 0.1 and 1 dollars (to be attractive for the target group). So, I think 0.1 Dollar *1E8/0.01 = 1E9 Dollar market capitalization is needed to start this scale.
Of course you can start now, but I think the system needs a certain pressure and this pressure is only available from 1E9 onwards Smiley

You would get 1000 * 0.0625 = 62.5 GB * 237$ = 14800 dollars at this moment

Hello guys, I have troubles with linking my BTC address. I'm trying to sign a message with my ledger nano S, but when I correctly post the signature, it replies with: Please just pay 0.00086 BTC to Bitcoin address ...., I'll give you further instructions as soon as we see your payment.

I would recommend Jeff Jefferson to ask:

just linked my bitcoins in my ledger nano s without the whole electrum workaround. it can be done easily within seconds using the ledger nano s tools. if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask them!

Can someone comment though if just signing a message should be enough and you would not have to pay BTC to verify?
