Hi all,
The october batch of Jupiters have problems with some Corsair PSU.
Anyone knows if this is also valid for the november batch?

Thank you.

Bad information. I've been running my October Saturn/Jupiter with a Corsair RM850 since I got it. It pulls 650/660 from the wall. I did order a more powerful supply in case I added more hardware but I think I may return it since the Corsair is running just fine the way it is.

Maybe there are some people that just had issues with their Corsair so I don't think saying ALL Corsair's have issues, just certain cases.

What happened with your Seasonic Platinum? I have a Platinum 1000w that just got delivered but not sure if I'm going to even use it.

The Platinum X series Seasonic runs for a few minutes then shuts off in a sedate and controlled manner. Tried two of their X series -- Gold and Plaltinum -- neither worked. Same problem.

The V1000 is fine and provides energy cost savings -- as It should.

Phoenix1969 was right about the type of supply. Check his posts.

It is indeed the HX series of Corsair that (I gather) blew up some Hashing modules.

I used a Corsair GS800 with no problem. It did drag the Hash rate down.

A unit that is capable of supplying 30-40% more power than required is indeed worth money due to greater efficiency. So, people who said that you should run a supply close to the limit are -- to put it delicately -- wrong. The Gold units offer other advantages over lower quality supplies -- read the specs.

A UPS with Line Filtering and Regulation also provides greater efficiency and a higher hash rate.

Note: Just as an aside -- if you use the Seasonic Platinum and your Jupiter starts to glow red -- just want to be sure you realize that would be your problem -- I am not offering advice -- just an observation.  My Jupiter shut down in a controlled manner -- your power supply could be from a flawed genetic strain which just hates miners with a passion.... On the other hand -- it may work. I just don't know.

So, can someone explain to me how the tuning suite works? I am literally just guessing at what I am doing....although my Sat. now Jupiter has been hashing at a decent rate, apparently after having tweaked it slightly where I think it needed tweaking....it now seems to have a steadier and slightly higher hashing rate. But some guidance or explanation of what things do and the danger zones would be nice...my 2 satoshis....

If its not broken, don't fix it.

Of course we have no idea what a "decent rate" might be....

So any advice would be purely speculative. Just sayin'

I receive two of my orders of Jupiter on thursday and friday and more Jupiters are on its way.
They were hashing stable at 685 GH/s and 675 GH/s average.
Because it is hot and the stand of the ventilator is broken I use an ioniser to circulate the hot air to the colder part of the house.
I don't need to turn the heater on and all windows are closed
My hashrate went to 730 GH/s and 725 GH/s, each time the ioniser is turn on for at least 30 minutes.
I don't know if this is due variance of the network or BTCGuild.
The total time I notice this is too short to be sure that the ioniser has a positive effect.
Can anyone with great knowledge of electricity confirm that an air ioniser has positive effect on KnC Jupiters.

Thank you

Jesus man, air ioniser? I think if you stand on one leg and rub your belly for 30 minutes your hashing power will increase by 20. Seriously, try that. You need to be directly in front of the miner though.

I am not religious, but leave Jesus or any God out of it.
Beside Jupiters, I have a lot of BFL singles, half of them never hash faster than 57 GH/s.
I put the ioniser in the basement where all the BFL singles are, they now all happily hash 60+ GH/s, variance or not they won't go below 60 GH/s now.
This has never happen before.
How it works, I don't understand, but I will leave the ioniser there.
Instead of answering a question, you talk bullshit.
I bet you don't know the answer either.

wht special ? all members buy one miner
receive email for buy batch#1

if you say only who bought pre orders first time and they pay more 500 bucks this is correct yes these are special

1. You have it the wrong way round, the $13K price is the retail price it was always going to be.
2. The $10K price was a discounted price for previous customers, any previous customer of Batch 1 or Batch 2 devices.

Nah that's garbage. Not any previous customers. Only the previous customers who could cough up 10k the fastest in 2 days. Or multiple. There are people who ordered more than one, making it impossible for other previous customers to get in.

If what you said was true, then the 10k price would still exist for previous customers even though the orders are open to the public.

All the 'Oh the ones who believed in KNC first' is baloney. I've backed KNC since the start, perhaps not as much as I've wanted to financially within my capabilities, and they've cut me 0 slack or deals. I contacted them from the minute at start of the promotion and they didn't help at all.

OK -- I'll stick out my neck again....

I am not aware of any physical or electrical principle that would support your conjecture... But then they tend to stick to the mundane in electrical, computer, material and electronic engineering.

Having designed equipment for over fourty years -- I don't have any experience to support your conjecture from that either.

Maybe a climatologist could theorize something -- after all there is no more screwed up branch of science than that -- other than maybe climo-astrology.

Wrong....  Obvious RMA boards, with thermal paste smothered all over them...
its been only two weeks or so, not six
and I owed nobody any explanation, especially you.

Why would anyone hide what they have or hide their hashing power? Is there something I'm missing here on why that is such a secret? I don't know the whole story and just read you got free boards but didn't know you also received bad hardware, right? Really none of my business and I was just curious about it since this hardware is so hard to get and hearing that people got free shit made me curious.

theres alot more to the story, but you can thank the trolls I'm not saying anything more about it, too much doggone drama and namehurling, insults, etc... sorry

my novembers went to "in progress" again as well.....

Not to mention the Power Supply drama either... rotflmao!

PS: An invitation to your lunch would at least be considered -- especially if bowls of Macadamia nuts were left about in a liberal fashion.

It's a Philips Clean Air System 120 I bought almost 20 years ago.
I used it for half a year and then put it away.
The last time I used it was to suck hot air away and blow it outside the window.
It is now sitting in the basement with the noisy BFL singles.
The quality of the Philips ioniser is very good, they don't make this kind of quality anymore.

my 88xx order is apparently 'shipped'  no email, no tracking number.

i'll hold my 'excitement' for now - i tried calling +46 8559 253 20 but my phone displayed 'wrong number'

BTW - too much name-calling and 'doggone drama' actually means too many incriminating facts that he would rather be 'generally' accepted as trolling

check his previous posts.. if enough people read up on whats been said, they'll easily see most of the truth.

i have more publicly undisclosed facts but im not about to post anything that has been said in confidence.

there are far more unhappy buyers than are willing to expose themselves for obvious reasons.

but im just a loudmouth, crybaby troll. what do i know??
