Isn't that the preferred denomination when purchasing Products through bank transfer at KNC?
...and I'm not sure there is an exchange that has enough trade volume in kronor to handle that.... or any exchange that handles kronor... is there?

I am not an original KNC customer so I am not in a position to, but I am surprised no one has chased them down with a lawsuit yet given the documented violations of their commitments to their customers, deceptive advertising, other things are fairly straightforward to prove..

It's likely they traded btc for usd then usd for kroner (or just held the usd) Exactly what I was thinking... Sold for USD, then converted at their own bank is the likely possibility. Here's the post mentioned earlier about an announcement  Finally a tidbit. Not water-cooled; wow, like they couldn't have told us that a eons ago, and nearly useless information. Soon? as in today, this week, or this month? Seems to me they are much more revealing when talking to press than customers. Let's get Heraldo on the case..... hehe at least it's SOMETHING besides silence. Better would be having them finish these sentences... "We expect the chips to arrive within...." or... "Last word from the foundry was...." or... "Boden will be used to....." or... any real, relevant information. |

Okay, so we should all stay silent until there's something new in KNC news? ... and let KNC pull more wool over our eyes without any rebuttal or speculation? Good luck with that. I got news for ya... even some of the biggest doomsayers in here STILL have Neptune on order, and have every right to vent in here, and warn others. Yes...even Edgar Just sayin' off topic is off topic tho, and agree. But if you are referring to the tax issue, it's totally relevant and "on topic" to any miner, or anyone contemplating purchasing one. ANY MINER. With that said... I just love how the IRS decides to slap on the BTC taxes in such a big way only two weeks before taxes are due. Most individuals and businesses have long since completed their taxes, and now have to file amendments before the 15th, or face another 10% penalty for filing late! And Miners in USA are especially screwed, enjoying a 25 to 45% income tax on what was mined, which is tallied at the value the day it was mined, which forces a daily cashout, or you incur capitol gains on top of that. You, as a Miner in USA can literally be taxed up to (39top CapGain) +(35% top Income tax) a whopping 74% for mining, and holding (if held less than 1 year)Yes.... Seventy four percent! Feeling abused yet? .. You simply cannot mix income tax with Capitol Gains without losing out bigtime... Mining needs to be treated exactly the same as CGains only, not income tax, it just is not fair or realistic, and adds a speculation that makes mining too risky in USA imho... period. Income tax on mining? That's like buying a job at wallmart for 10 grand, and getting taxed triple for doing it. All I have to say to posts like this is DO NOT PANIC! And most certianly do not let your monkey minds play tricks on you! Unless there is something announced by KNC Miner or a verified rogue employee this is all just hearsay; at the end of day who are you really hurting or disappointing? KNC or yourselves? Certainly not KNC! |

How long do you think it will take them to setup another farm, only filled with Titan's? Probably a week or two. Interesting how KNC could execute a 51% attack on the entire scrypt network with only a few million dollars. Looks like the whole purpose of scrypt (resisting asics) has failed. The original point of Litecoin (which introduced Scrypt mining) was to resist GPUs. |

Here's the post mentioned earlier about an announcement Does anyone know if it includes a Power Supply or not? I'm assuming it will be the same as Jupiter, and not include a PSU... I don't really mind, however one advantage to including the PSU is that it takes up less space - the PSU is integrated into the unit. |

As they only told people on 16th October that they could not deliver all October units by the promised date of 15th October & they only announced on 15th November (the day they were supposed to start shipping) that there would be some weeks delay with November shipment it's pretty much guaranteed if there are any Neptune delays, they won't tell anyone until July 1st or 2nd. They always do and always will wait to the time has passed to inform people of delays and not a moment before. Their next major Neptune announcement will probably be either - aforementioned announcement on 1st or 2nd July. or - "chips have arrived and refunds are no longer possible" (they've more or less confirmed this is the next time they'll take their head out of the ass and say something in every newsletter and cut'n'paste customer service email they've sent recently) They are making half a million dollars a day self mining their DC - they aren't going to give that away to customers they don't give a crap about just because the customers they don't give a crap about demand it  As I've said many times before, knc have nothing but contempt for their customers. They just see them as annoying idiots/imbeciles with wallets to take advantage of. We'll see this play out again for sure. |
