Awesome news on the new Titan...
Personally, I think it's going to be like getting a first batch Avalon in March last year...
Especially bearing in mind that the immediate "ASIC effect" on BTC was to send it's value up by an initial factor of 10.

Just to let people know - I converted a Neptune to a Titan. They do it 1:1 in like 5 minutes. Seems they want to get rid of their Neptune liability fast did you ask them if Titan refunds would be offered ? Nope - did not ask but should be clarified. KnC has earned my trust. Time will tell whether this is justified or not

... Seems they want to get rid of their Neptune liability fast lol, bingo. In February, they start offering cloud hashing instead of Neptune. Suddenly a few weeks ago they stop selling their refunded Neptune units. And now are offering customers easy switch to a completely different product. Read into that what you will That is the beauty of the game - you never know what will happen Edit: Next step most likely is: Combine an existing Neptune and Titan order for a dual Scrypt/ SHA 10.000 kW Supernova Miner delivery Q1-Q4 2015

Doesn't BFL do the convert order you are waiting to be delivered to new "jingles keys" shiny stuff in 6 more months?
The difference here is if KNC delivers 100Mh Scrypt miner at the same time it delivers Neptune (even if its 3.5Th) the Titan will be a better deal by a factor of about 25% in annual revenue True. it would certainly be a better investment. It also begs the question - are they going to mass produce these in their DC and blow out the difficulty before you get your hands on equipment? Will these turn into cloud hashing options as well? If they were the KnC of October I would probably sink money into it, but they're not that company anymore. I just don't trust them to do the right thing anymore. I'm also done with the pre-order scam. ants have cured me of the desire to give out 0% loans anymore.

Hmm i just plugged below into the litecoin calculator, and it looks like the new titan 100mh will never ROI if difficulty increase is just a modest >10% per? I am sure it will be much more than that in reality. Using below criteria, dont think i did anything wrong but can someone double check? this makes no sense that this 100MH is dead on arrival... 1)hardware=10000 USD 2)watt=1000 3)watt/usd=0.15 4)difficulty increase=10% 5)start mining difficulty=current (which is not true, will be a lot higher) 6)hash rate=100mhs 7)LTC/USD=17.66 https://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/calculatorMonthly view:

You should try to understand the number given by the calculator. With these number you assume that the difficulty in september will be ~ 100x more than now. There is only one scrypt asic out : it's not possible having 100 time more hashrate on the network. 100x more hashrate on LTC = 60000k gridseed Not even talking about other scrypt crypto

if they give 3000GH to me hosted i'll be happy, 13btc/3000 = 0.00434btc per GH if they give 4000GH to me hosted i'll be even happier 13btc/4000 = 0.00325 per GH based on a pretty static 25% increase, depending when delivered they may still be profitable. If it is in the next 2 weeks they could do quite well at 3THPS. the last few difficult changes have struggled to meet 25% apart from once. One Neptune will require I think two high end 1200 watt power supplies which are quite expensive. Slap on another $500 for those, right?

Even though it is not as vulnerable as sha-256, you will still see significant increase, not to mention the price per ltc is much lower.

The Wild West had duels to settle things... this thread is how the wild west would look without duels
Dpos, we are prob. bored is what it is, so we are looking for entertainment since KNC hasn't given us anything to monkey around with.....we are at each others throats as if marooned on an tiny island and everyone's ready to bash eachother's head in.... so KNC, how goes the cloudhashing, our Neptunes and still no interest in a SCRYPT MINER?? ps. mining on scryptguild.com for alt coins....I would be using a KNC scrypt machine here as I use a KNC machine for SHA on btcguild.com. Same admin for both, so I know we kick'in ass. on topic. A KNC scrypt machine..........hmmmmmmmm joe, is that hmmm as in interesting, or hmmm as in I might be on to something? Not implying anything. Just thought that may be a good next step for them. Hehehehehhe are you privy to some insight? come on you can tell and I won't tell anyone.

A competitor for Litecoin rigs, Alpha-t.net, has 25Mh at <=300 watts. I'd say if the Titan was a 20nm rig it would be around 800-900. Each 25Mh unit was priced at 8900ish, with a June/July shipping date. I also don't think they're trying to get rid of Neptune preorders. If they did, they wouldn't reoffer them on their website (as of this writing, 4 were in stock) The announcement definitely got the other companies riled up. I'm sure similar announcements from Bitmain and other manufacturers get KnC worked up too. We would like to assure you we are very aware of our competitors hash rates and pricing and intend to match them, we started development in May 2013 and are on schedule to ship in July giving us the clear lead. During development we decided to make our units larger and upgradable so we could accommodate increased hash rates with ease, we gave ourselves this leeway for a variety of reasons. And the announcement of Scrypt miners from competitors was of course one such reason that we anticipated and planned for. A full announcement with details on our new batch 1 hash rates will be released very soon! https://twitter.com/UkAlpha/statuses/446281608702988288

I'm running 2 THASH of Ants and my house is freaking loud and HOT! With the summer coming I don't know what the heck I'm going to do.
Sell them. I'll take them off your hands for the current S1 price minus 10% since they're used. This is a problem LOTS of people aren't expecting. While the greedy virus has taken a hold they've purchased all this hardware and now are draining fossil fuels at an alarming rate while heating their house too. When summer starts to roll around things will get interesting. Buying a couple of floor fans at Walmart isn't going to help with the new hardware. While much more efficient, you still need multiple power supplies and more cooling fans all which throw off a lot of heat. Just from having an upgraded October rig I had to turn off the heat vent in the room where it is running. And it has been heating that entire room for the whole winter now. I can't imagine how some of you will keep your new gear cool, especially without some kind of commercial cooling. The ambient temperature will just be too high. I want picture of all fires.

Looks like scrypt asics are on the horizon, new section appeared on the website https://www.kncminer.com/categories/litecoin-mining-hardwareIn this catergory you will find our litecoin mining products. The devices are being designed and built by the same tream who brought you the first 28nm Bitcoin mining hardware. Our products have progressed past the RTL stage of devlopement and will be launched for sale very soon. That's so messed up. They are selling litecoin rigs and don't accept litecoin as a payment. Man, talking about trying to get to the market before anyone else. That's pretty rude actually.

Pretty soon we'll see products advertised years in advance and yet people will still pre-order them. Stop feeding the monster people! Just use your head and buy bitcoin outright. Certainly saves a whole lotta of time and energy.
