I think bitcoin price will reach $2000, bitcoin pricee is more than $1300 now so I really optimistic about it. I hope there are more investor come so the price cam increase higher.
We still don't know what might happen, but all we can say is that the price of bitcoin is really unpredictable. But I don't think it will reach $2000 this year, maybe $1500 to $1600 but will not reach $2000. It is too early for bitcoin to reach that high price. Like you said, The Price of Bitcoin isn't predictable but judging from the current price and the ever growing community, Bitcoin reach $2000 or more before the end of the year. Since Bitcoin's price is dependent on speculation, development, or news such as Segwit activation or SEC reconsidering bitcoin ETF approval, We could see the price movement at $2000 per bitcoin. Just so you know, Bitcoin has gone over 200% in it's price between 2016 until now. Same could happen this year as well. |

The prediction of many other members here in this industry are now little by little happenings because the price value of bitcoin now was 1306$ in the market which is now getting higher, and the prediction this year is 2000$ to 3000$. And I know most of the member bitcoiners are much awaiting that to be happen.

As the bitcoin having a good progress the number of person who are using it is rapidly increasing. The popularity of it is increasing. I think bitcoin this year will take some major parts and upgrades of bitcoin. The value will got high and many people will use it. Many people and establishment will accept it and the government will soonly accept to become on of the major currency in a country because we all know that bitcoin is helpful and many advantages.
Agree. The more the value increases, the more it will be able to attract people into investing and holding the digital currency. As this is the year of Bitcoin where it has reached all-time highs, I'm sure people will start looking it as a serious investment like Gold. On top of this, if Bitcoin becomes scalable, then it would have a better possibility of increasing more in price over the long term. Combine this, with the upcoming halving events for Bitcoin, and expect for the price to increase $10,000 and above. Just my opinion.  |

depends on the scaling issue really, if something gets implemented price could reach 2k$ at the end of the year if not go above that value.
If scaling issue stays price will drop around 900$ I'd say.

Most likely we will soon see another fall. Always after growth will fall. Now the price is high, and soon there should be an adjustment. I'm waiting for this in order to buy bitcoins. By the end of the year, I hope that the price will reach $ 2,000 |

By the end of the year, I hope that the price will reach $ 2,000 Well, Bitcoin prices has always been volatile but in recent times the prices has seen more of an upward adjustment than a downward adjustment and so anyone hoping for any significant decrease in order to buy again might wait for a long time because it's stayed at $1,100-$1,400 range for a long time now and I doubt if it will ever go down below $1000 any time soon. If you indeed hope the price is I'll hit $2000 by the end of the year, what stops you from buying at the current price and holding? |

I'm feeling a that bitcoin will have a good price at the end of the year, like around $2000. What I'm currently afraid of is the big dump coming soon. I hope I wrong because I don't want that to happened. But looking at data historically, bitcoin has able to recover pretty quick when there is a crash. So I can only speculate that $2000 recovery at the end of the year.
Bitcoin currently is in a very good stat and I am hopeful that it will do well in the future as well. I am seeing its price above $3000 in the year 2017. The signs of it being dump are nowhere now. It can only be dumped by any of the altcoin but not possible in the coming two or years or may be a decade will it take, if they provide much better chances of earning. Other than prices, I am expecting major market giants like amazon and walmart to start accepting bitcoin payments this year, that may give a boost the prices to reach beyond $3000 levels too. |

BTC will have a price rise until the end of the year, but is unclear what the top will be. There is room to grow up to 3000? The SW drama will have an effect in this price? Maybe an altcoin will steal some of the steam and hold BTC price? We are living one very exciting moment, and any prediction is an educated guess, IMO.

Why do you think that nothing is going to change in 2017, when it comes to bitcoin? I dont agree that we can compare 2016 to 2017, some of the events that have already occured had a really big influence on the cryptocurrency market, and so far many signs are really positive for this year. Bitcoin has broken 1330$ price, which is something amazing! I really think that 2017 might be a year of bitcoin, if indeed the miners will find a correct solution for the problem of high miner fees and transactions getting confirmed in an hours. If actually they will make up some compromise, then Im sure that 2017 will be a year of bitcoin: there is no doubt that after such an event (e.g SegWit implementation) BTC would go above 2000$ per unit. |

Many of us guess it'll hit $2000. The dumps should be less frequent and smaller, too. TXs will grow (or network will be slower, whichever approach you like) and I hope to see the end of the scaling war.

It's hard to predict the price in the end of this year. By the ways, nowadays we see that bitcoin price increase from 1170-1240$ to around 1350$. And wa are in the fifth month in this year. So we can expect in this year maybe the price will cross the barrier of 2000$ which it's amazing for us and for the bitcoin. |

I expect Bitcoin to hit 1600-1800 by the end of the year, then dump for a while before hitting 2000 by February.
Lets see if I am right...
I am also very curious to see it happen too. Hitting 2000 is surely a huge milestone for btc. 2000 means that the total capacity of btc has doubled and more influence btc can give. I believe there will be more services that accept btc as a mode of payment. We have to wait for all components to support each other's development of bitcoin. If everything has been received and ready with bitcoin then i am sure any miracle can be created by bitcoin. Including significant and unexpected price increases. And all the benefits we can get at that time. That is right, without any further development needed for bitcoin, price won't increase itself. We need more improvements right now, the blockchain suffers due to a big traffic sometimes. there are also spam attacks occuring from time to time, which are basically slowing the chain really hard. Without any solutions such as SegWit or 8 MB blocks, we just won't be able to stay on the price above 1500$ without the signals that it is going down: bitcoin would be simply overvalued in such a case, the asset cannot rise constantly when it has a huge technical backlog. Give it more time, dont be so greedy about the cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is not a magical asset which increases its price over and over, it has to decrease too. Yes, it needs more development to be the favorite and full stable on the top. But I guess it will be done with the passage of time. The competitors of the bitcoin must keep it in sight that it is the first one in the market and it can offer quite adequate developments depending on the need of the market. Saying it now to develop it more is I guess a bit early. |

Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain. Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017? If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think? As of now i see that bitcoins price is starting to increase and i wish bitcoin would stay in that way. Because i see that bitcoin is improving and the numbers of users of bitcoin starting to increase too. Maybe in the near future bitcoin would be so successful. |

It looks like bitcoin prices will rise above 2000USD. Currently only bitcoin prices have reached 1500USD. We just wait some more time, hopefully bitcoin continue to experience positive news. |

It looks like bitcoin prices will rise above 2000USD. Currently only bitcoin prices have reached 1500USD. We just wait some more time, hopefully bitcoin continue to experience positive news. I don't know guys but upon seeing the current price, it's like a wow for me. I don't have an idea why and what's the real thing behind, as the price is increasing rapidly. But whatever is the reason for it, my thought for this year is the same with you guys, it's very possible that the price can get up to $2,000. And hopefully we are going to land to that price very soon. |
