see my edited post (use Y-cables)

You mean like these:

https://www.amazon.com/HIGHROCK-Enhancer-Female-Charge-Extension/dp/B00NIGO4NM

The idea being to split the amp load over two ports?

idea is correct, but i ordered mine on aliexpress as they had beasts with super-thick USB 3.0 cable when compac came about.
I think that I used Anker for it, but run it via Linux PC, which was so much easier to setup than Win.
the result was Compac (not 2pac) that was going at above 24Gh and I had to extensively cool it with a Vornado fan at 2in distance.
I don't have free Linux PC available at the moment. Might try and see if i can get something like this going with 2Pac.

Those are still available if I am correct and you can still get decent Ycables for around a buck a pop on AliExpress. Amazon is just full of resellers if you really need it quick. I got one of my 2pacs to 35GH/S easily with one and I could get it higher if I wanted.

Won't 2 usb2 tails only yield 1a total?  At least the usb3 + usb2 models will yield 1.4a, unless I am mistaken (totally possible).

It depends on if your hub has that 0.5A/0.9A limit built in, or if it's more of a limit in the regulators feeding the ports. There's also the issue of wimpy wires in the Y cable melting under loads.

Also, a note to seekers of warranty work - I test and guarantee the sticks at stock specs. A stick that doesn't overclock as well is not grounds for warranty work. For a stick that has obviously been overclocked with inadequate cooling (PCB or chip discoloration is apparent) or abused (physical damage, parts missing and/or badly attempted home repairs) won't be covered under warranty. If you want me to fix it I will require compensation.

A stick that hasn't obviously been mistreated but still fails to perform at stock will probably still be covered.

My unit sent back had the dial fall off.   nothing else was touched on mine.

Hey so I got my gekkoscience device to work but I want to use bfgminer not cgminer, is there anyway this could be done? I would rather all my miners work off the same program since I have my pool sites and rotation on bfgminer it would just make my life easier since cgminer keeps spaming errors because I have other miners in and they keep  denying access  to cgminer.

CGMINER is the only one that could work with 2pac.

The errors are because cgminer needs to use Zadig for the USB connection.
More fun comes from Luke Jr.'s USB driver in BFGminer and Zadig not playing well with each other.

Just to be clear, what are those "stock specs" / MHz for the Compac-2 (and Compac-1) ?    100? 150?
<3 your work Sidehack - thank you!

Sidehack can clarify on the specifics, but at a minimum I would assume that as soon as you turn that potentiometer, you exit out of stock mode and enter the no guarantee / better know what you're doing / at your own risk area.

I test for stable operation at 100MHz, no higher than 1.26V (most are 1.24V). That core should allow up to 150MHz without issues, but 100MHz is about 4W so I recommend cooling but past it you definitely need cooling. As with the Compacs, I don't guarantee anything's overclockability and I also don't guarantee it won't burst into flames if you don't know what you're doing.

The Compacs were tested for stable operation at 200MHz no higher than 660mV.

For any questions about if this stick will mine anything besides bitcoins and other SHA256-algorithm coins, please do a bit of research because the answer is definitely NO but understanding why might lead you to answer a lot of other questions for yourself that people are getting tired of hearing around here.

Also, I honestly don't really care much about BFG so I haven't talked to the developer at all about supporting 2Pacs. If VH wants to send him what he's got for driver code maybe we can get it in there.

I have 4 running at 300mhz this morning have two usb fans on them, they are not running hot.  I have no errors.  When I get home I will have more info.  With the two fans they are pulling 99watts on my 49 port hub.  The stats below are on CKPOOL

It should converge to 132GH. Got my Terminus prototype running the same speed right now.

It should be drawing about 60W from the brick, maybe a shade more. Kill-a-watt reports about 70W into the brick. Mind you that doesn't factor in power for the controller, but it does have a small fan on it.

Also, thanks for the hashrate spam.

Hum.. the 2pac stick runs well, I am having an odd issue..  No HW errors on them but they will run for hours then just randomly zombie out.. any ideas?

I turned the HZ down to 75 it seems to of helped a bit.. I have the Compac 1's and they run no problems.
