You need to provide a bit more information. What usb hub is it running on and have you tested the hub seperately? What voltage is the core? What freq was it running at? Has windows done any updates and changed the driver back again so may need to do zadig again? Any pictures of the back of the pcb to see any physical damage?
[/quote]

if have a couple but 1 doesn't work anymore! all same settings!

no psysical damage, that's i ask how can you see if it is damaged or not.

the windows does recognize the miner. but the cg miner says no device detected. so i don't get it.

with these crypto miner, some strange thing happens.

maybe the miner has mined it's max? i'm mining the same coin for long while? i don't know.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The settings are the same to you, but they are still a secret to us... Please answer GT's questions as best you can... we need information to help you... The information will eliminate possible causes for your problem... At the moment I'm imagining one 2Pac that works and one that doesn't... and I don't have any solid information to go on... also, tell us about your active cooling - these miners don't like too much heat...The more information from you, the more help or suggestions from us. Help us to help you, please...

So my guess is that the flux capacitor may be deflumed... try flurbing the nampores or adjust the aroma of the color 12... That almost always works in a case like this...

Oh please, ppl really need to stop blaming the flux capacitor, we all know that thing'll survive anything.  It's the biomimetic gel, everyone knows that.

This being a 1384, I'm still betting it zombied out and the dude just didn't power cycled the thing.

Hello,

I try my first steps on this mining topic and bought a raspberry pi 3b+ with 2 GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Asics.

I got all to run, but one of the 2Pacs went offline after few seconds. The measured vcore then goes to 0V and CGminer write, that this Asic went offline found 0 chips.
I found also a topic that vcore is to high so I set it to 1,3V like the other one which is working perfectly.

But all I try, the second one comes not or goes offline in short time.

I tried also with this 2Pac alone, same result. I tried also this stick directly on raspberry usb same result. comes few seconds and goes offline.

Could it be that the Asic is damaged? Its a one from amazon and the stick came with 1,5V vcore setting???

Was it used? Who was the seller? If it came preset that high, it was probably a used stick because factory default is 1.25V and factory seconds weren't set higher than 1.40V

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

I bought it from Amazon as NEW and the package looked like, but the vcore was definitively up to 1,5V so it seems someone operated before???

Is it possible that its a damage or can I test anything else??? I´m to new to this topic that its hard for me to say why this stick wont work like the other?

Running CGMiner under win 10, have a USB Hub that can provide 2.1A per port, also running  an r-606 in same instance but on another port, of the 7 Newpacks 3 are acting up, 2 constantly and 1 on and off with the "found 0 chip" issue.

I have tried 100, 200 and 250 Mhz.
Tried different USB ports on the PC and changing ports on the hub with the "good" newpacks.
Tried hot-unplug/plugging.

Any help is appreciated.

Shadowvariousnumerals, it's possible the device is damaged. No stick left the factory set to 1.5V so it's been messed with before you bought it. At higher voltages the risk of heat damage is greater. I'd contact the seller and see what he knows. Also look for discoloration on the PCB, especially up top where the chips are mounted.

ZimbaCardi, if you're having a problem with NewPacs, look for answers in the NewPac thread. This is not the right place. Also please tell me you got a fan on those sticks.

@ZimbaCardi
Hop on over to the NewPac / R606 thread.
Grab the latest code and check over FAQ from the first post regarding low speed in WIN10.
The new code should perform better for you, but if it doesn't then apply the additional testing options mentioned there.

I think Zim is our customer, maybe I'm wrong. Everything is sealed from GS unless we have to break their typical packing of 3 newpacs up for an order. Cool these with a fan even at stock, test them in separate instances and definitely thumb through the newpac support thread and post there.

Will go over to that thread, sorry.
Yeah I have 2 fans on the sticks.

Also a fan on the Brick when I run the R-606 at 650Mhz Wink it runs fine but the brick does get hot and runs at the full 8A, so I backed off and have it running at 550 so it uses 6.5A, that's pretty close to 80%.

Got all this from MineFarmBuy and figuring out how to run it properly yet but very happy with my lotto tickets so far.

Hello,

I have 4 2pac miners that I'm trying to run at the same time, but I keep on getting an error message "0 chips found" on at least one of the 2pacs. Sometimes, cgminer can detect the 2pac in error after repeatedly unplugging and plugging it in. On other occasions, removing the stick and plugging it back in allows that particular stick to be detected by cgminer, but then another stick is detected as "0 chips found." Does anyone know what could be going on?

I'd like to try and run a single instance of cgminer for each stick and see how they do on their own. However, I'm not sure how to enter in the    "--usb :1" command on a windows pc. I'm using a gekkoscience usb hub and I'm unclear if I need to account for the usb hub when entering in command just mentioned.

Could someone kindly post an example on how to correctly enter in this command?

thanks very much!

Hello, I have two TTbiT devices, like Gekko 2pac with a built-in fan.  Tried a pi3b and win 10 with all the appropriate drivers, permissions etc., gettin 'failed usb_init.'  Device manager on win10 says all ok. using a 10 port A400 hub with 2a1 per port available.  Have just one to hotplug & comes up with the above each time.  Enabled gekko-2Pac as it is the same as the TTbiT.

Have exhausted trying to find a solution.  Having read page 1 to page 37 and page 80-87 have not found any usable solution.   Any ideas?  Maybe a different enabler?

I know I'm replying to an old post but just in case... I got one of those TTBiT SHA256 devices myself for an "experiment".
Was convinced that the producer, since publishing a "Windows CGMiner" compatible with it, sources had to be available to compile it for Linux too.
Was wrong. These guys packed a device, hacked cgminer to recognise it, sold a few of them, never plublished the sources.
...
I edited this post. Made a mistake buying this device. It's a kind of bad "copy". Sorry in case somebody else did the same mistake.

Is that the guy in the yellow case with a tiny built-in fan and BM1384 chips?

If so, I can't really recommend using it. They basically stole my 2Pac design and botched it into a fire hazard. The main regulator circuit is technically adjustable but there's no safe range on it which means you can overvolt the chips to like 2V quite easily. This is especially troublesome because they put diodes across the node-level capacitors to help balance on startup so if you give it more than ~1.4V those diodes start to conduct and then start to smoke. I think the chips are counterfeit (at least on the ones I looked at, the logos were lasered off) and not very well adhered to the heatsink. Both the ones I looked at had USB configs copied from one of my 2Pacs, including the same serial number on both sticks (all of my devices have unique serials).

But hey they got a nifty little built-in fan, so there's that.

Right, then... I do appreciate your post, sincerely.
To be frank with you, I wasn't aware it was a copy, a bad copy, of your original design. Only realised after buying which chips they used.
Yes, they look cool being cased that way, but I'd rather give money to the one who had the original idea.
I won't take the risks you mentioned. Thanks for the advice.

Um, not sure why this post ... and the original ... isn't simply deleted.

This new post someone supplying help to those who bought miners from someone that stole your idea, ... and violated the cgminer license ... which (obviously) is something that I'm certainly not happy about either Tongue

Then came here and asked support from the original hardware developer ...

Um ... clearly sidehack is more tolerant of scumbags than I am Cheesy

More like there isn't much I can do to stop them, and I figure people will realize they threw their money on a crap product before too long anyway. At least those guys did their own board design, not like another 2Pac ripoff I saw for sale elsewhere and got the vendor to pull the listing.
