Nice pump.

Should I now sell everything before the inevidible dump ?

No wait until summer and sell before the inevitable dump at $100k/$200k.

Proof is in the price:

So you are comparing 1 bitcoin to 1 troy oz?

How did you come to those units of measurement.

Gold is often sold in grains, grams, imperial oz, troy oz, tolas, taels, kg, tonnes.

Direct comparison is impossible.

Try comparing total market cap and come back to me.

One of the few charts I can wrap my head around.
Assuming the graph data is accurate: the colors are too red. My first impression from this graph is more negative than positive months, but that's not true.
There are 22 negative and 29 positive months. The positive yellow-orange should be light green.
What about some traffic lights? Wink

It looks like April should glow green.

Except I did not state that bitcoin hasn't performed well.  I stated the chart you posted was factually incorrect and biased.

You are right there might be inconsistencies.  There always is and depending on your perspective.

On the other hand it must be frustrating HODLING gold.

New poll is a failed facetious attempt at discrediting BCH's ability to usurp BTC's reign.

Don't even see how hardcore Blockstream / Core supporters could find any humor in it. Unless it wasn't intended to be a joke? But then that wouldn't make sense as OP would be banned by now and poll delisted..

So I rest my case..

I bought a Lamborghini LP560-4 Spyder with my bitcoin profits.  I also stabilized my gains by selling near the top and buying just over 400oz of gold and nearly 1600oz silver.

Can you trade back and forth Lambos and phyzz? Looks like dead money.  PM is a good insurance but that's all (provided that you have a safe safe).

How you enjoying watching your digits drop from $19k to $6k ?

As someone who is also interested precious metals, why buy any gold at all and not just silver considering the historical ratios? Surely silver will outperform gold?

Also, where did you purchase that bullion case?

Just like the protestants fractured into a practically innumerable number of sects, after the "reformation;" so will the Bitcoin Cash community keep fracturing. There is already much dissension brewing. Peter Rizun can't stand Craig Wright and vise versa. Furthermore, Craig Wright has been attacking Emin Gun Sirer's selfish miner attack theory with full gusto.

The point here is the price of gold is not supposed to be especially volatile.   Its not seen as a positive for price stability if a price changes considerably in a short amount of time, this is true of a positive price rise as well as negative falls in a price.

Of course we know in a developed market many parties are glad of a lower price.   With the gold the point is value held over hundreds to thousands of years, obviously not in dollar terms.  In dollars the price changes massively, however the easy conclusion is that dollars are worth far less in 2018 then 1918 hence the change is the dollar not the gold itself.     Its an ongoing indication that dollar is flawed in any saved value capacity.

Theres no great criticism of gold in what you have posted.    I'm sure it has negatives, its only a heavy piece of metal however it has held its value for longer then any other asset.   Bitcoin should be closer to a growth asset, I dont think it'll ever be as stable.
I do hope bitcoin will develop further and become more usable, more integrated and so more highly valued in real terms regardless of what dollar is doing.  Gold we can be sure will do nothing, its an ironic positive in defining a steady fixed value.  Make sure to hold a little bit of gold, its arrogant to assume every other generation was wrong on this
