After an ATH (+/- $ 6,000), most of the time it goes down by 20 or 30%, to climb with more strength. Wink

I’m ok with dropping to $4,000 again, whatever. It just helps us gobble up cheaper coins before this thing goes parabolic. I’m trying to get to a certain round number of bitcoin’s but I need another 6.9BTC to make it. I’m not sure I’ll be able to before it becomes too expensive.

Yes, it is better to buy at $ 4,000 than at $ 8,000, although if the price goes up, my strategy is to divide the total investment planned for the year and buy the same fixed amount monthly.

Question for anyone who wants to take a crack at it.

At what point should we assume that most everyone who wants out of Bitfinex has gotten out?

LOL, in 2019, I'm talking about the highest price of the year, so far and I hope to see it higher in December. Cool
The 'yearly high'.

I've seen others saying 'ATH' when they mean 'the yearly high'. But it's wrong/confusing.

Yes let's keep on creeping up... Cool

Typical behavior for someone who probably bought at $20k sold at $12k and is now hoping BTC will stay at $3-4k for a longer period of time. His bags are probably empty or almost empty and he's been saving on food and clothes to buy some tiny fractions of BTC. In a desperate attempt to prevent BTC from rising he is beartrolling spreading fud here on BTCtalk trying to confuse noobs and persuade them not to buy immediately. Let go dude, BTC is heading north and it's a one way journey... BTC gave you a wonderful chance to buy it for cheap at $3k but not for long we have to move on now. You're late, you're too late...

easiest overclocks (well aside from the bios stuff from the pentium II on up) was the jumpers on the 486. just pick 25,33 or 40, then select the multiplier via jumper and see if it booted. cant remember if my 386 could do that. before that there was the clock crystal replacement on the IBM AT. never tried it on mine though.

Those AMD 5x86 chips could be OC'd massively on 486 boards (socket 3 IIRC) like you said set jumpers and watch a 120mhx become 160 with no issues on a stock cooler! AFA crystals, yup easy as well, pop out a 33mhz and throw in a 40 crystal on most 386 chips and you were out to the races again on stock sinks and then upgrading to a Cyrix 486 with a L2 cache bump was a great upgrade on the same 386 Mobo! I remeber using evergreen socket adapters to run 386sx chips on 286 mobo's and I think the last 8088 4.77mh upgrade was a 8mh (Damn I can't remember the name anymore).

yup had a amd 5x86dx4, 160mhz 24/7. that and my voodoo card and glquake. play for days, sleep for days. repeat.allowed me to skip the 1st pentiums, went right to PII celeron 300 with no cache those puppies overclocked like there was no tomorrow. then a PII 450 to P3 coppermine. gets blurry after that as to what i ran.

voodoo one cards. my brother in law had one. when i saw it in glquake against whatever card i had at the time my jaw just dropped and my drool puddled on the floor. i bought one the next day heh. one of the single most "holy shit" advances ever, soundblaster with real wav files was second. with games that did adaptive MIDI soundtracks (wing commander II), well who needs sleep anyway.

still have an 8086 (8088?) with a six pack, herc and ega card (a paradise card that could hit some vga modes), original soundbaster with build in 4 watt amp and the volume dial. gotta dig out the acoustic coupled modem. of course i should of saved a phone with the old style hand piece too. no phone i currently have would fit its cups lol.

best part of that 8088/8086 XT clone? that HUGE red paddle switch for power. nothing like it. when you flipped that switch that solid "thunk" was music to the ears. and the 10 megabyte hard drives that took minutes to spin down.

My first purchase at BTC was with a price of $ 3,100. I never sold a fraction of BTC and I'm Hodl forever, until FuckYourMoney arrives or everything goes to hell. Cheesy

That was back in the era when In-Q-Tel crashed the market on purpose and bought up all the coins for cheap.  Might be a govt wallet.  Who the fuck else neither diversifies or spends a cent after getting a windfall profit?

15 years must have passed since my last visit to Tokyo.
Bad luck, the Emperor of Japan abdicated just a few days ago and his successor has given 10 days of holiday to the people... and like me who has found a few closed places today, many of them are not happy about it.

Anyway, after starting my day with a good breakfast and an hour in the gym, it was time for me to revisit Tokyo.

Egg whites, potatoes, melon, pumpkin soup, pasta, juices...

First stop was once again a Bic Camera, but a much bigger one than I saw yesterday. This one is located at the Shinjuku train station.
It has many  floors and they sell everything : alcohol, food, computers, phone accessories, kitchen supplies...

The only problem is the Bitcoin logo is much more discrete this time. You only see it at the cashier or on a few signs in the store whereas yesterday you could see it clearly at the entrance.

I didn't spend any BTC there but from what I hear there's not many people using this service. The transaction is done off chain and you can use any wallet you want.

My second stop was just across the street, another department store called "Yamada Labi".

It's a bit smaller than Bic Camera but they basically sell the same stuff.

Third stop was supposed to be a money exchange I had heard about, called Samurai exchange. Their website says you can exchange international money for yens and then yens for BTC. Unfortunately they don't offer that service anymore.
They redirected me to another place called Sakura exchange who it turns out also stopped offering Bitcoin exchange.
That's a shame because I had a few bills I wanted to get rid of.
Those two exchanges are located in the same area, in Shinjuku, near this cinema :

After walking quite a bit already, I needed to rest... and to eat.
So I went to a sushi bar to have... vegetarian sushis (I know "what a waste" but I'm vegetarian so...)
They tried to trick me with one sushi that had wasabi in it but it didn't work. I actually ordered more.  Tongue
