Angel has fallen.... it was better as the previous 2 movies (not a +8 movie but enjoyable) Cheesy

Really? It was better?

That is an uncommon occurrence that a sequel is better.

I think the only one I can remember is Aliens just because Bill Paxton was brutally funny. Cheesy

There are a few not many but still there are a few

Best sequels??

Terminator judgement day .....?

Gonna think this one through when I have a clear mind ( but T2 was a clear call)

I'm surprised that they never made a sequel on "Deliverance".
And I have also noticed that kids today uses references from the movie without even knowing they're from the movie. They talk about banjo music and hog squealing but no idea where it's from.

The sequel starts with Beattys character coming home and wife saying "Hi darling, how was your canoe trip? Did yo catch anything big?

wrath of khan, sequel to star trek the motion picture
road warrior, sequel to mad max

then along came the reboot of mad max a couple years ago which blew the original away big time..

Agreed, I forgot khan!

I've never watched it, I was not quite old enough at the time. I remember having to bug my mother for weeks to go see Jaws and boy was that a mistake. Smiley

The root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that's required to make it work. The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust. Banks must be trusted to hold our money and transfer it electronically, but they lend it out in waves of credit bubbles with barely a fraction in reserve.

It's a good movie still, it has aged well.
Just watch it this evening, I'm sure you can stream it from somewhere.

#reckless   Cheesy

Being reckless with your money will have its consequences eventually. They warned us though. If you are playing with LN you better act like that money never existed. Even Bitcoin (layer 1) is still in beta and can go poof anytime. If you have any hesitations about bitcoin, you should multiply them by 10 when you are playing with LN.

No need. I am using custodial bluewallet. Works just fine.  Cool If I had a business accepting LN transactions, I would panic though.

There was a warning not long ago for people running Bitcoin Core (QT) nodes, naturally I was shitting myself even though it said ‘stored funds are not at risk’. It still scared the shit out of me, not good.

Luckily I don’t use LN.

I would like to see us rally in the next 3 days or so.  We have a nice green candle closed on the daily which is a good jumping off point.

Bitcoin is the best major asset with a high return and the lowest correlation to other asset classes.

Terminator judgement day .....?

Gonna think this one through when I have a clear mind ( but T2 was a clear call)

i think you had to see the original Terminator in the Movie Theater to really appreciate it. The others paled in comparison, Sci-Fi doesn't always age well.

I liked Road Warrior in the Movies better Than Mad Max though but hated Thunderdome.

Empire Strikes Back was better, so there's another one.

I think the only one I can remember is Aliens just because Bill Paxton was brutally funny. Cheesy

I'm not sure I'd say that Aliens was "better", but you make a good point, it was at least as good, and that is goddamned good!

The editing in that first firefight down in the reactor, cutting between views down there and the body cam monitors up in the command car...just brilliant.

I've gotta say being a former marine that they got alot of it right where most others fail miserably, right down to the clueless Lieutenant who they pretty much modeled after a Second Lewy (otherwise known as a 90 day wonderboy). Cheesy

Quote

Ripley : How many drops is this for you, Lieutenant?

Lieutenant Gorman : Thirty eight... simulated.

Private Vasquez : How many *combat* drops?

Lieutenant Gorman : Uh, two. Including this one.

Private Drake : Shit.

Private Hudson : Oh, man...

There is something to be said about seeing a movie in a theater with a large audience. Nothing quite like it imo. Bill Paxton is for sure missed...what a character with so many great supporting roles.

Also..there is no such thing as a 'former' marine.

Good morning all

Bitcoin has been consolidating in the $9.4k to $9.6k range as we begin to close out the month of August. Light volumes are prevalent as the market searches for direction in calm seas. Some minor gusts are expected as we enter the final half of trading today while a stronger steadier breeze could manifest after the closing bell. It is my belief that the next couple of months will be definitive for market direction.
