An update on how average Joe see's bitcoin from my retail perspective.

In person, when customers ask what forms of payment are accepted I often give the usual credit/debit options and jokingly slip in that we'll even take bitcoin just to test the reaction. I've been doing this since early 2017 and it's very interesting to find the public sentiment and education levels this way.
In this year's experiment:
* Not 1 person said "what's bitcoin". Every last person had at least heard of it and understood it as a kind of currency.
* A surprising 20-30% of the people actually made a serious inquiry about bitcoin past my joke! Whaaaaat? It appeared none had done significant research but it was clear that there was a real curiosity and they wanted a quick grasp on the concept if I knew anything about it. Super bullish!
Many times I promised to share information links for anyone who would email me about it with a warning that it could be a serious time sink. I've been sharing fillippone's post as a jumping in point. Thanks dood, nice collection! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5156874.msg51545936#msg51545936

In 2017 only 1 of 3 had heard the name Bitcoin.
2018 most thought of Bitcoin as the world's biggest bubble that had popped or criminal's money.
2019 many are becoming curious and approaching the topic seriously

tl/dr  The normies are coming! HODL

If this  amplification still hold we can expect 25K by end of October. Less than 60 days.
Crossing fingers.

LOL   Yes, but what October.   Definitely not the one 60 days from now. This chart is totally clear there.

Difference between 2015 and 2019 is that back then we had sideways and the up now we had up and then sideways. Different play but same result.

Yeah, I tried to calm things down between them when they were fighting each other in the local board, but they are up for a silly pissing contest and don't want to listen to anybody.

that's a good counter for the trade war, but the debt crisis is a global problem which can not be solved with a new US president. that's a ticking time bomb

Why not? In fact new ATH in November-December is very feasible. Actually now it's up, sideways and MORE UP.  Cool

Ratio of 20 to 1, thats beyond belief even now with QE programs around the world.  His wording about I should've sold the store and kept the silver coins rings true; if its more profitable not to do business, not to provide a service and just speculate on commodities then we have a problem and inflation is already out of control at that point most likely - its destructive.
I think silver does double at some point and reaches its previous high.    SIlver and gold are just going to adjust for the new money created, they arent growth products exactly.   BTC can be a growth product and also see that adjustment to mass monetary debasement in FIAT so it can justify 20 to 1 and some think that impossible or must be ponzi.
If the utility served by BTC is genuine then its not ponzi but I dont blame people for disliking virtual products, some will never give up their argument and will side with silver or similar standards but I hope we continue to see growth in BTC use and population.

BTC is back above 30 and 50 day averages, if it closes above 10380 today I guess thats far more bullish then I thought it would be near term.   Its repeating previous bounces from the 9000 area, a simple idea goes far and some will be holding for 11k perhaps.

The debt isn't a ticking bomb. The system was built to support ever increasing debt.

I've not been active in this thread for the last couple weeks / few days, and I don't see that changing due to IRL stuff picking up speed, and corn activity being pretty boring during that time.

I just read something on Twitter along the lines of BTC is entering a "FOMO loop", and I just can't even even.

My gut says the bull broke out of the barn over the weekend, and shit is about to get real interesting.

I am likely entering lurk mode until we start approaching closer to $20k.

Love, hugs, and HODLs. No homo.
