yea I want out of Australia too - I just don't know of any truly independent and non-corrupt place to go to though.
U want out of Australia? U clearly have no idea how good you guys have it there compared to just about everywhere else. Spot the Pom!! Seems my fellow Aussies have addressed this in some length and everything they say is true and then some. For example, you could add our energy policy and our relationship with the environment, the extreme political apathy and the increase in blind nationalism....which is reflected in our fashion sense And we love our Prime Minister so much we can't stand to look at him anymore... http://stoptonymeow.com/

When an internet store does that sort of thing, don't we call it a scam site?
I'd personally rather wait until Gox actually defaults, disappears or gets sued into jail before I call it a scam. Perhaps you're not familiar with the Butterfly Labs rigmarole? ah.....as they said in an old star trek episode "That is the equation!" ...it all make perfect sense a bitcoin exchange that works on the methodology of Butterfly Labs..we take your $$$ for btc on the exchange ...we speculate with it a bit for our own use either by the investment of your dollars or bitcoin intrest free for 4-9 months..then MAYBE we give it back to you at a rate worth dumping on you ....less then when you paid USD for it...with little risk to our bottom line...... well played....well played indeed! englighted i am Searing

Sorry you Ossies are havin trouble with your leader. Wanna trade?
In other news, I think that I understand that a fudish post on reddit released the hounds of gox and Stamp and BTC-e dutifully followed. Correct?
If that is what happened, then I surmise that demand is sooooo pent up that any tiny spark is enough to set off the fireworks. Or, perhaps it is just the fear of being left behind. I'll go with the former until proven otherwise.
So now what? Will the recent levels hold for long?

A lot of people have been making noise that this bounce back up is irrational... But that doesn't consider the possibility that Gox going to sub-$100 was the irrational thing. The odds of insolvency can't be that high (6 to 1???), and besides, they can't be THAT insolvent, right? Even if they were insolvent you'd only need to get 1/6 of your coins back for the better decision to be not to sell at $100. So maybe this is Bitcoinland waking up to the unbelievable deals at Gox after an irrational spell. From that perspective - yes, this trend may very well be real. It's looking pretty solid on the charts.

I like rational comments like that. I think sub-100 was irrational, so you may well be correct. Let's watch. edit: BitcoinWisdom is down for me, so I'm like a dopehead with no fix.

BitcoinBuilder Last Trade Price: 0.50005 ฿ (Gox/Bitstamp: 0.446)
I have never seen it this close, it was trading at about a 50% premium in the past few days. Not sure what's up.

Fiat money entering Gox to arbitrage between BB and GOX. On the weekend? I think that is possible, yeah. Via OKPay. Or it may be that bank transfers (to Gox's bank account) were completed on Friday but Gox only processed them (crediting people's accounts) on Saturday. I'm speculating though.

I think the irrational thing might be the correlation to Gox... I agree with that to some extent. From watching the action these last few days, I believe that there are still some bots that are triggering from the changes in the MtSux price. It's obvious that they were not following to the full extent, but it seems that the increases on the western exchanges were too fast for mere humans. But what the hell do I know?

New 24h Gox high. Thought it'd be a more substantial resistance level.

Well Gox is started to do some transactions. The nature of those transactions I do not know. But they are doing something.
