Unfortunately, my life seems to be your life....frugal/boring..etc....need to do something truly epic and senseless and of 'dubious' moral values...
but nevermind I need a nap...later
Brad
Indeed you are. My expenses are frugal but my life is nowhere near boring, in fact one thing I would like to experience some day is some sort of boredom even if for brief moments. My last time of feeling something near that is when I was in the hospital for several days a few years ago. It felt great. Anyway, yeah, you are an interesting example of someone clearly living below his current means and always worried beyond rational most probable expectations. Of course, doing that for the past few years is what have allowed you to reach this point. Kudos to you. You are older than me... Also have more BTC than me... on the cons you live in a WAY more expensive country than me... But all things considered you are probably living comparatively in relation to what you have more frugally than me (which is already a lot to say). May I ask you why? What's your goal? You already "made it" considering BTC, pension, previous asets, family office income... Now what?

Now how TF did the dow drop 1k points, and gold pump, on the news of the china virus spreading outside of china, but bitcoin is still kinda down? Dow dumps, gold pumps, no real effect on bitcoin?
So much for ncov giving btc a pump..

It just further shows that btc is disconnected from other markets and or news...
Everyone always wants to pin down a reason for btc price movements so they can understand it, but it is usually much too independent for all that..
Btw a 100k top on the next pump would be disappointing.. Yall sound too anxious to sell..

Many people on this thread will have been locked into BTC for a long, long time. You cannae blame them for wanting to get partially off the ride after this much time. I would vastly prefer to spend than sell but for the things most desire - property, erectile dysfunction implants, hotrod mobility scooters - that's going to be hard going for a lengthy while yet.

Nym uses a stratified rather than peer-to-peer topology, as peer-to-peer topologies offer poor anonymity by not evenly “mixing” packets, while Nym wants to guarantee the privacy for all packets entering the Nym network. Just when I thought maybe I was getting around things, now here comes Nym.

Have just gotten email informing me that the N95 masks i had on order since Feb 1 are now being sent to CDC (or FBI) due to "emergency support for national outbreak prevention and control" & under orders of DHS.
i will get full refund or i can wait for masks est. in August. This does remind me a bit of 2007/2008 when first we saw Iceland go, then Northern Rock and the UK banking crisis along with the US mortgage lenders and then it hit Wall St and the global economy fell apart.. Feels a similar rolling contagion - a spreading cause and effect. Get FFP3 masks from germany/europe. 3M are good, don't know of others. They also make some good goggles. EDIT: Just saw you quoted some birdies. So for all others, if you need masks that work... (N98 effectively).

I am selling some % at 100k range..... I will be selling possibly half on the way from $50,000 to $100,000. I might even keep a large chunk of fiat in preparation for the next horrible bear market so I can buy back what I sold at a much cheaper level. One thing is for sure though I’m taking big, life changing money out this time. I’m nearly mid 30’s, I’ve got plans & I can’t sit on my hands & do nothing like the last bull run. That's literally my plan. Also planning to rebuy during 2022-23 cryptowinter. I'm 39 and the next bubble top will be too late (at least the hookers and blow part) or according to WO bros suggestions I'll have to use viagra or do lots of squats

2 bad years at 4 year intervals. Possibly halving related? If the pattern holds then the next bad year is still 2 years away. 365*2 = 730 Days ---- Enough time to cash some profits if we reach magic numbers with in 600 days---- Problem is, we most probably won't cash out when it reaches $100k. Hardened by the previous cycle, we'll stoically watch our corn plummet to only $30k, upon which time it will be declared dead, weak hands will sell, some of us will get wrenched, the rest of us will HoDL (because we're HoDLers) until 2026 when it reaches $1M. We might sell some at that time... I am selling some % at 100k range as i am planning kid and then i might get married in couple of years, hopefully in correct order Joke aside, It depends on the individuals and what their lifestyle or goal is. I am speaking for myself (Shout out to @jojo ) I am salaried person and big percentage of my salary comes in BTC. In the last 2 years i only cashed out like 3 times so i gotta cash out some at 60k-100k (Will try to hit few goals by following JJG's guidelines with some tweaks) just for my peace of mind as i don't want to regret anything, my soul is too young for any regret . Already mentioned few times so some might remember that i entered very late (China fud -2017) in this game and luckily sold the top during the last bull run so i am in accumulating mode religiously since then. Already bought back everything last yearI agree, it depends on the individual. For me, $100k is beyond Moon, and closer to Mars. So I will definitely cash out some of my stash, mainly to buy equipment for my home electronics laboratory (childhood dream), and also to enjoy life (nothing major, just carefree lifestyle, travelling, not worrying about cost of living). No Lambos for me, never fancied them, never dreamt of owning one. A decent standard car (which I already own) is good enough for me. I could quit my job, but it's a job I enjoy, and a job that gives me the satisfaction of doing things that I could not do otherwise, so I don't think I'll quit. Not yet anyway. The main thing for me is for Bitcoin to keep rising, or at least stay close to the $100k level in the long term, and not plummet to zero suddenly (which it won't, but nothing is certain in this life, and enemies are always lurking). Agreed, but even if you really like your job you enjoy it and it's more like a hobby to you, remember time is money and your employer is just buying your time. Time you spend with your family is the most precious thing money can buy (arguably, I know, there are people here who think differently haha roach). After you'll achieve FIRE (financial independence, retire early) via Bitcoin you could just spend some time on hobbies or charity but most of the time with your loved ones.

woke from my nap and saw this. luckily i did most of my senseless dubious moral value stuff already. nothing epic although i got some thumbs up while they told me what happened as i recovered. i am VERY glad cellphones with cameras were not a thing back in the day. easier to repress those memories when theres no direct proof reminding you.

Hello guys. Been very busy IRL. Observing 1BTC=1 BTC Observing 1BTC=9,600?USD Observing 7th COVID death in Italy. I think I am not loosening my opsec too much if I say I live in one of the affected areas (not the military locked down “red zones”, luckily). This is a picture from a local supermarket: (Yellow things is due to poor white balancing post processing). Very little time for the forum, WO is merciless and I am lagging behind more and more pages. Posting here one of the few positive tweets from today: The fact that #bitcoin price and stock-to-flow are co-integrated is IMO an indication that btc is a Veblen good (i.e. a good for which demand increases as price increases).
