The price continues to hold up well considering the current issues with the mempool. Looks like it costs around $12 to make a Bitcoin transaction right now. Not too bad. If it continues to ride though I could see it starting to have a major effect on price when transaction cost gets to be above $50. It remains to be seen if it will get that high during this spike.

Looks like some kind of attack to me. These are always tempoary as it becomes financially punitive to maintain. IMO the solution to high fees are high fees.

Notice also how the journalists are chuckling and laughing, not surprised by Hugh's comments. It's because they already know that it will all go down that way.

It's all like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Every time someone makes the big reveal without sugarcoating it the journalists try to make a joke to make it look less important and less impactful.
Hugh has this style of a cool Australian surfer and it probably influences the way they talk to him smiling and joking. I see this a lot when bitcoin proponents are interviewed. They're usually very energetic, talkative and enthusiastic and hosts do what they can to tone them down or turn it into a comedy talk show.

Cannot taze me now
Goodbye, cruel world, its over
Bitches walk on by

Are you watching this
Why are you arresting me
Help, what did I do

Thanks for the high transaction fee, it helps me HODL! LOL...

What does a high transaction fee usually imply? Are we expecting a bull run coming soon, or what? Because the last time I experienced this high transaction fee, the market has been very bullish, so what is it now?

Spam from greedy gullible people, see The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing.

My 2 sats:
Crazy! I have no other word for it.
I've been wondering for a while what would be next after altcoins, ICOs, Forkcoins, DeFi and NFTs. I guess the next pyramid scheme is making up BS on the Bitcoin blockchain. As usual, a few people will get very rich out of this, and many people will lose money. All I can do is warn against it.
Do people not understand they need some centralized service to "use" their made-up tokens, which goes against everything Bitcoin stands for? So, when they think they have this, in reality they have only Bitcoin dust!

You know you made it when current Bitcoin fees do not bother you because you are hodling. But it is hurts to see the ordinal scammers smearing Bitcoin's name with their Bullshit-Rort-Con 20 tokens.

Well, at least the miners are making decent profits off the idiots who actually fall for the BRC20 scam. Enjoy it while it lasts (Protip: it wont).

It will last long enough to bring BTC price to ?

I say they are looking to get BTC to drop to 25K or 24k

Yes i said it in another thread, the only "good side" of this its the miners are going to do some good money.

Anyways i hope this stop more sooner than later. We didnt know the real consequence of this shit yet.

Also thinking in the actual conjuncture its not good for us to show this shit performance in term of transaction when the normal banks are crumbling, we need to show a very good shape and show us like a solution against the eye of people no like a new wave of problem with "colluded transactions" or millions of queue payments.

Thanks for an in-depth analysis of my post Cheesy
I see your point and completely agree, especially that I have no real data to back my claims. It's just a feeling that I have and I hope it's a good one, cause I'm out of cash to buy another dip.

I don't think they ( meaning the scammers) are looking for a certain price of bitcoin.
They're focused on their scam pepes and other shitcoins and bitcoin is just a means to an end to them. It's a road they're traveling on to bring fake money from home to a lambo dealership.
