Offering to sell: Order #100000072, includes fourteen (14) K16 boards fully assembled / tested and hosted with Steamboat, plus 8 spare chips. Chips are from Batch #4, purchased on May 28th, 232 chips total. Total hashing power is 63 GH/s assuming no overclocking.
Will provide: Full documentation of who I am with scanned photo ID including current address, phone #, copies of chip purchase e-mails, copy of paid order page, and a signed message proving I own the paying address. You get full control of the account after payment.
Asking: 70 BTC, assuming the non-Gox rate stays in the mid/low 80s.
Why am I selling?: Reallocating resources. If this doesn't sell I won't be upset at all - I have plenty of confidence that Steamboat will deliver an excellent and timely product.
PM me if you're seriously interested in the complete system only. Thanks.
I think steamboat specifically said he won't support this. (just a few posts up thread) "Transfer of chip purchases is not supported in any way. While the shipping address may be changed, the original information received from ordering may not. Our responsibility is to the original customer which made the purchase, and no assistance of any kind will be given to third party purchasers. We understand this is an inconvenience for those of you wishing to resell your chips. It is our suggestion to purchase chips directly from us, or wait for the chips to be delivered to the original customer and purchase them directly from the reseller. Again, we offer no assistance regarding third party chip reselling agreements. "

Want to buy around 200 chips..Can anyone give any update of Batch 6? And why the hell avalon showing out of stack? Funniest way to down a site for maintenance from around 26th June. Does it take 1 week to maintain that wordpress site? Are they gonna close selling chips? What will happen to batch 6? People!! speak up.
@Steamboat, if I send bitcoins i.e. buy cheap now. And if avalon continues showing out of stack, what will be the process of refund for batch 6 chips in case any buyer wants his BTC back?

He replied to my email: We have a ticket open with Avalon, and should have more information shortly. Thank you for your continued patience in this matter.

1. Bronchitus is a big deal, rest is imperative. I went through two bouts in succession in 2009/10. Asthmanex helped immensely. 2. I thought that orders were assembled/shipped based on a FIFO queue based on the chip orders. Has this changed to be based on assembly orders? If so, I move from 5th in line to 132nd. Thanks for the update. I think you're going to be fine. I'm in batch 5 and have an order in the early 20s. As much as I'd like to get my shipment sooner, it doesn't mean I get to jump ahead. via Steamboat (above): "Assembly purchases will be processed first by batch number, and then by order number. Batches will not compete with each other for assembly. " I understand, but I hope steamboat honors the original order ranking as he stated previously. Even if most of the orders are from other batches, 20-30 position differences can make a day or two difference and as much as I hate the adage... time is money when dealing with bitcoin. Of course we just need steamboat to get well at this point. Details are secondary.

If everything goes right the assembly house will knock out far more than that in one day.

I read somewhere that he is assembling hundreds per day.. are you seriously stressing for 20 positions?

steamboat:
I want to begin the process of changing my shipping address. I do understand that you will not change any of the information other than the shipping address, so if anyone was to sell their chips/spot in line, they'd have to act as a middleman. My question is this:
Should I 1) submit a signed message asking the shipping address change, then go to the secret website and order the assembly options with the new shipping address. .... Or 2) go to the secret website and order the assembly options with the current shipping address, then submit a signed message asking both shipping address to be changed? I'm hoping option 1 is okay, as it seems like it would be the easier option for you logistically.
Thanks again steamboat. Maybe you could describe this process a little more clearly in the OP in case other people want to do the same thing.

Avalon isn't showing out of stock on the chips anymore. At least they let me add it to my basket and click the checkout button.

As was stated originally, Chip purchase and assembly purchase queues are handled separately and apart from one another. Each batch will be processed completely before the next batch begins. It is very unlikely batches will arrive together. steamboat:

If you would like to change your shipping address, the best way would be option one as you have described. Send a change request containing a signed message using the sending address from the transaction. Once approved, create the assembly purchase using the new shipping address. Update: Batch 6 ordered.

Host your units for 8% of the revenue generated, plus $0.06kw/h for electricity used. If currently paying the national average for electricity, this equals a roughly 3% premium to have your units hosted and maintained How was this calculated? I am getting ~1% cost using $0.1kw/h.

$0.115 was used. I believe the method used was 8% of the profits divided by the difference in the electricity rates. At the current difficulty the difference in the standard electricity costs would equal roughly 14% of the hosting fee, while the hosted rates would equal 8% of the hosting costs. While the difference would actually increase, and end up equaling a zero or negative cost once higher difficulty is considered, the calculation is convoluted and subject to speculation, and as such has been removed.

Do you have any more info regarding hosting - do we have control of the units - or is it more a case of you set it up to whatever pool and just maintain it?
