How do we calculate hash ? You don't (it's always a guess based on # of blocks solved based on difficulty) Use a wallet !!!!! Amazing device :-) or use this http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/coins/ixcoin

A recent post from Peter Todd https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5979.msg11615544#msg11615544"FWIW I've run into a lot of regulatory people who have pretty clear views that Bitcoin mining should be regulated such that addresses are blacklisted or even whitelisted. Obviously that's a goal, not necessarily what they'll succeed in making happen, but that's what the long-term intent is. For instance, one regulator I talked to a few months ago at a conference was *very* clear in her view that the Bitcoin protocol simply must be changed to add verified digital identities to the protocol itself, and mining blocks with transactions without valid identities and/or extending blockchains with non-compliant transactions should be an illegal activity that's prosecuted."

Wow, thanks, Peter. So besides tracking everyone like I said they would, it sounds like they'll use this "feature" to literally blacklist and cut out entire mining farms which don't agree with their protocol changes. In this case they would shut out, blacklist, the Chinese pools which make up 60% of the network and who don't agree with Gavin's, BankCoin, err, XTcoin. As I predicted in 2013: Welcome to Fed and fiat 2.0.

I think XT would eliminate the Chinese. I think that's the primary reason to add IP tracking and blacklists. They need a way to get rid of the Chinese miners so they can do as they please [with the protocol] without any opposition. And this is why I think the Chinese cannot allow XT to happen - their very existence literally counts on it. As for many countries agreeing on it; since when are governments opposed to traceable money and the ability to ban anyone they choose? Trust me, XTcoin would be an easier sell than Core - to all governments, banks and corporations.

Nothing, the fork is on bitcoin, they are independent networks, with merge-mining it doesn't matter if the bitcoin block data is valid or not, just that the hash is on it and the difficulty it is enough for the merge mined coin to follow their own rules. Now if some miners/exchanges are running different versions of IXcoin, then, Houston we have a problem. Namecoin miners had to upgrade recently due to the OpenSSL bug. Only then forks and orphans stopped.

This is good news for my coin. Vircurex is a robber.
But how will we easily calc hash?
AAAHHHHHH, Thomas, I didn't think about that. Maybe they'll keep the stats on there since it costs nothing and it brings in regular clicks. My guess is they won't, since when NVC was removed, also the hash calculations were removed

re calculation of hash , see post and link from Cinnamon to coin warz website----
Remember , long time ago btce traded ix coin and it out lived that, so I think it will outlive vircurex.
Vircurex had such low volume trade on all coins they probably cannot even pay the electric bill
Not the first or last exchange to delist coins and get 'hacked' (or whatever) and result in people missing coins....
Keep your coins in your wallet, locked,
Not just ix coin ---- all coins ----

Ixcoin is just a brick in the falling wall
Crypto is going to collapse over the next few months and sentiment will be in the toilet. That is the time to buy. Remember that lesson of investing, buy low and sell high. Ignore sentiment.

I was chit chatting with shak3zula on twitter and by accident I thought of a great way for Vlad to raise the funds he needs for the next big event to promote ixcoin !! Everyone likes to bust his ass so I figured if he sang some girly type songs karaoke and agreed to post the videos of him singing them that may appeal to the crowd here to see how good (or bad) he sounds..... So lets test the waters I think I came up with a few good numbers for Vlad to sing here for laughs Submit your song for Vlad to sing if you don't like my choices and how much btc you will pay to see a video of him performing...... personally I think it might be pretty funny if he did these three numbers.... Tove Lo - Talking Body https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzRyxGBGiAESelena Gomez - Good For You https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TsVjvEkc4sDemi Lovato - Cool for the Summer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=il9nqWw9W3YIf Vlad sings these Karaoke how many of you would pay .25 btc per video to bust his ass.....

What about a wikipedia article? If anyone would like to contribute to that alongside me that would be very helpful.
Nice idea Yoshi. I remember something was done in the past. Not sure if it still exists. It doesn't exist. If anyone would like to help me on that article it is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Yoshi24517/sandbox1&redirect=no

Proposition X: Removing the only black mark from iXcoin's History.
The time has come to remove the only black mark on iXcoin's record and history: The premine.
Personally, I think the premine is a testament to how serious and legit Thomas and iXCoin have been. For how many alts have had a premine which has gone untouched for nearly 5 years, with the exception of paying bounties, of course.
No coin with a premine has ever accomplished this level of integrity.
That said, the premine is still something crypto investors balk at and I think we need to start a serious dialog about getting this mark removed.
On top of opening up discussions of how we can best deal with this issue I would like to commence a community fund raiser for this purpose. The premine was 540,000 IXC I believe; a hefty sum.
I feel confident that if the community comes together on this proposition then I can induce our partners to help us reach our goal. Every successful crypto needs an active community so the success or failure of Proposition X will ultimately depend on everyone here.
Regards,
Vlad

Proposition X: Removing the only black mark from iXcoin's History.
Thank you, Vlad. I will match, coin for coin, up to 100,000 iXcoins donated by community members. This is the kind of leadership we need around here.

Sadly, between computer mishaps and financial hardships I have been left on empty. But this is huge - we can get nearly half the coins right there if the community takes advantage of this and I'm certain I can work something out with our partners to make this happen. I'm so glad to see the community coming together on this. Cheers!

In all seriousness though, Ixcoin is lacking the fundamental services needed to compete against Bitcoin.
To my knowledge there is still no mobile wallet, absolutely essential for purchases.
SMS transactions "coming soon" has had no public development.
There's no Mac wallet which is necessary for mainstream adoption aka propagandizing.
The premine is also an issue. The supposed bounties never really materialized... neither did the services.
What happened with the alleged 20mb test-net?

Half the premine was paid out to bounties so Thomas kept his word. And they were very generous bounties. Regarding the 20mb live stress test. I last spoke with Gavin and Peter Todd about 6-8 weeks ago and it was the understanding that they would get us the software package for the test and then we would do the stress test. They never delivered that software and they didn't give any reasoning for it either. They seemed very excited with the idea of iXCoin being the test mule so I'm not sure why they didn't follow through. I agree about all the needed services but until our partners decide to be more active not much will happen. That's why I think we should at least do what we can as a community and taking care of the premine issue is something we can tackle.
