Today we are launching a new exchange, initially dedicated to Ixcoin and Bitcoin, with plans of adding more cryptocurrencies and possibly FIAT, in the future. You can reach the exchange at https://ixco.in, the platform is secure and we employed best industry practices, such as cold storage for IXC and BTC, and default SSL encryption.

Ixcoin is one of the first cryptocurrencies launched after Bitcoin. One of the peculiarities of Ixcoin was a block mining reward of 96 IXC, which would have shortened its maturation time and would have lead to Ixcoin supply ending much before Bitcoin. Ixcoin survived and today the mining reward reached 0, the coin continues to thrive and there's growing interest in it. Important companies in the cryptocurrency industry are already showing support to Ixcoin and we think the trend will continue.

On the business perspective, we are registered and located in Hong Kong as Ixcoin L.t.d. with regular business license. We raised enough funds to keep us running for a while, also we acquired a significant amount of Ixcoin during the last year.

We are also planning to contribute with releasing a version of Electrum wallet specially tailored for IXC, development is ongoing and we will make an announcement soon. 

We aren't charging trading fees for the time being, the only site fees at the moment are charged on withdrawal. We invite everyone to try the platform and submit feedback through this forum or our email.

Awesome!  May I suggest you use IXC as a base currency for trading pairs to expand it's use.  No other exchange has IXC markets.  As examples the IXC markets would be like so, LTC/IXC, DRK/IXC, NMC/IXC, QRK/IXC ...

Awesome!  May I suggest you use IXC as a base currency for trading pairs to expand it's use.  No other exchange has IXC markets.  As examples the IXC markets would be like so, LTC/IXC, DRK/IXC, NMC/IXC, QRK/IXC ...

1) What companies are showing interest - I can't find even one and I've been banging on doors for 18 months.

Two suggestions which would greatly help IXC.

You're in Hong Kong which means you must have contacts with the big exchanges.  Can you see if OKCoin and Huobi will add IXC?  I've been talking to them but no success so far.

That would open up a massive market for iXCoin.


Also, Bitcoin's biggest fear and problem is scalability.  With empty blocks ixCoin can do massively more transactions than Bitcoin.  Is there any way you guys can facilitate a transaction stress test to prove this?

This would destroy any potential of any competing alt-coins and put ixCoin ahead of Bitcoin on every level.

You still never explained how an empty block is any help to a coin.  The size of Ixcoin's blocks are the same size before as after the reward ended. (at least if you are talking disk space size.)  What do you keep talking about?

Congratulations for starting an iXcoin centric exchange.  I had planned to do so myself but it appears that you beat me to it!

I suggest that you cater your website to the Chinese market.   The non-Chinese markets are allready well served with CEX-IO in Europe and Cryptsy in the USA.   

Looking forward to see your progress.

The block size limit would still have to be increased but it's a fact empty blocks propagate much faster through the network compared to full blocks.

And Bitcoin cannot do anything to follow us since their mining won't end until next century.

Bitcoin has no chance which is why scalability is Gavin's biggest fear.

From the technical perspective,  there's no difference with Bitcoin.

The only key difference is the *zero* inflation rate (actually it is deflationary since coins always get lost).

That is a very good point!   I stand corrected.  The pools have to distribute the mined coins, so as a consequence, for every block, thousands of transactions are created just to distribute the mining fees.   With IXC, there are no mining fees and therefore nothing to distribute even though there are a thousands of miners.

So therefore; IXC has yet one more massive advantage which Bitcoin cannot match for 100 years.  lol

Man, I've tried numerous times and I even regularly chat with some pretty important people in the crypto media space, like Perianne Boring.

But they all run away scared from IXC like its Ebola.  So weird given they write stories about total dead end ShitCoins all the time.  It's almost like they're all being paid to ignore IXC.  lol

Another thing about this new "development" - they're charging no fees (except a withdrawal fee). How many new exchanges can you think of can launch and do that?  You have to be already rich.  Cause what's the point of an exchange if you're not charging fees?

So again, it's shocking to me that none of the big crypto players are seeing this and putting 2 and 2 together.

Brock is looking into it as of this morning but he may choose to ignore it [still].

We need something really big to wake everyone up, but I don't know what given CEX.io and our own exchange did NOTHING.
