Meanwhile wallets are still "offline" on exchanges...
It has moved into the second week with no end in sight... Huh

No end in sight? Really? The entire blockchain was moved from C++ to Golang, things take time. It was also moved from C++ to Golang in a hurry to protect the integrity of the network. I know this is crypto but seriously, be patient. You'll be able to sell in a few days, I'm sure. I don't think it's the smartest thing you could do but hey, what do I know? I'm a bear. I like to eat the heads off fish.

No offence meant with "no end in sight", it is in vulgar parlance. I understand everything... that this is a great job, put it kindly, to make it all that Dero devs have done and doing right now (i'm sure!). But i only want to know, lets say, "as soon as practicable" date when wallets will be available for deposits on exchanges... and only because of such long "offline" time. "Tomorrow", after that again "tomorrow"... nothing concrete.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Well I would say "when it's ready" is fair enough. The dero team usually gives estimates that are further out than expected but I have noticed some "over promising" lately on timelines. The roadmap is still on schedule and to me, that is the most important. I get the issue but like I said... I'm a bear. I like to bite the heads off fish.

Any example so that it can be corrected.

Exchanges has been supplied with  required rpc wallet/daemon few days back.  Lets wait.

Exchanges were supposed to be shifted next month on new  Golang daemon/wallet.

Agreed, I mentioned that before. I was just mentioning the confusion. Keep up the good work.

Hello everybody,

could someone write how EXACTLY I should enter the pool string to wallet (or daemon? I do not know) and WHERE so that I can start mining?

I have made several tries with

-o stratum+tcp://pool.dero.live:5555 -u Wallet_address.Diff+Worker1 -p x

and

minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://pool.dero.live:3333 -u YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x

with no success. Do the spaces play a role? what is x? should I leave it 3333?

Please, as if I am 3 years old.

Thank you in advance

Paste the error messages you are receiving to start.  Also, you are replacing "Wallet_address" and "YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS" with your actual wallet address?

The role of "x" is a placemarker if you do not want to create a password.

Many people like the performance of XMR-STAK (https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak) for mining.  If using XMR-STAK, use algorithm "cryptonight"

-o stratum+tcp://pool.dero.live:5555 -u Wallet_address.Diff+Worker1 -p x

This looks like a ccminer variant (e.g. - tpruvot); if so, then you need to specify the algo using the -a switch:

ccminer-x64 -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://pool.dero.live:5555 -u wallet.diff+workername -p x

I just published a new article that explains a lot about what Dero has been up to. I think this will clear a lot of things up and open some new discussions as well.

Well, that's probably because I *guessed* at what mining program you are using; how about you tell me what it is, instead, and perhaps I'll be able to help.

We need more details about what you are doing. What miner are you trying to use? Is the .bat file in the folder with the mining software?
