You are welcome.

Captain, thank you very much. I have always appreciated you and the hard work you do here. You are without a doubt one of the best networking and security engineers I have encountered in a long time, and I do not give that compliment out lightly.

It appears your project is becoming centralized and censored.

I know I may be overreacting, but at the moment I am not happy with how this was all handled. I'm sure I just need time to cool off, the rational engineer in me loves this project for its merits, but my emotional side is haywire right now.

Hello everyone!

The entire Dero team is excited to announce that the Atlantis testnet is now available for public testing (http://seeds.dero.io/testnet/)

To start mining on the testnet you will need to create a new wallet
The command to start mining needs to be used in the daemon - start_mining <address> <# of threads >

C:\Users\robot\Desktop\dero_windows_amd64\dero_windows_amd64./derod-windows-amd64 --testnet

C:\Users\robot\Desktop\dero_windows_amd64\dero_windows_amd64./derod-wallet-cli-windows-amd64 --testnet (edited)

If you're getting notices about your system time please update using NTP (or if you're on windows, cycle the auto time sync on/off)

This is the testnet - no need to burn old wallets - just make a new wallet for Atlantis testing (no Dero on the testnet will be kept - it's 100% for tests ONLY)

Captain, thank you very much. I have always appreciated you and the hard work you do here. You are without a doubt one of the best networking and security engineers I have encountered in a long time, and I do not give that compliment out lightly.

However, I cannot help but feel unwelcome. I have been vilified, banned from the slack channel and censored. That feels incredibly wrong to me. I know I may be overreacting, but at the moment I am not happy with how this was all handled. I'm sure I just need time to cool off, the rational engineer in me loves this project for its merits, but my emotional side is haywire right now.

To be honest, at this point for me to feel welcome, I would need my Slack account to be reinstated and a sincere public apology from —Serena— on the general channel where I was, and continue to be, slandered.

I’m willing to admit my tone may have been standoffish, I may have been a little harsh in my emotional state and I’m sorry for any pain that may have caused. That was not my intention in the slightest and I’d hope my history with this community would help attest to that.

The narrative in Slack being pushed is still being justified by telling the community that my PMs were rude enough to justify a ban without providing any evidence, despite people questioning yours and @Mojo's behavior @--Serena--.

Can you go cry somewhere else? This forum is for Dero, it's technology, and what it is bringing to the world. Not people banned for being rude and then crying for attention. Thanks,  much appreciated.

I understand, and for months I have been active supporting this project both technically (through mining and technical support here and over slack) and my promoting Dero over other channels. If you look back through the post history you will find I’ve been around here since February supporting this project.

I believe in this project and have quite a large amount of the publically available supply of DERO, and I intend to keep it that way moving forward. However, I feel personally affronted by the team and will use whatever platforms I can to get my message out there until I feel —Serena— and the team has made it right.

--Serena--, I do not know why you continue to be disdainful and disrespectful towards me. As a paid community manager I would expect you to be able to accept some constructive criticism, comport yourself with more professionalism and work with me; not hand out bans because you do not like or cannot handle what you are hearing. Especially over PM. In the public channels I was sure to explain my position and apologize for any affront or miscommunication of tone or otherwise that occurred. Despite what you and others may believe at this point, I do strongly believe in this project and do not want to harm it in any way.

I not once attacked you or Mojo as people, to the contrary, I’ve come to like both of you a great deal over the past months. I only offered my anecdotal opinion about how I believe the community could be improved based on the chain of feelings I experienced following the initial exchange. I did this in a PM because I have found you to be quite effective in the past, and have been vocal about that. However, at this point, out of principal I cannot and will not let this go if that is your final position.

I know there are two sides to every story, but your side is looking worse and worse with every post you make. I've exchanged a few PMs with --Serena-- over the last few months and I have always found her to be honorable, truthful and professional; you, on the other hand, wrote this on April 22:

Honestly, this thread has been bumming me out, I’ve been a staunch supporter of Dero for months now and used to love the community’s helpful, synergistic vibe. I used to visit this thread and the Dero forum multiple times a day, but find myself coming less and less. The holier-than-thou approach of the team to an outpouring of disappointment from their early supporters and the toxicity that breeds has killed what I used to love coming to this community for.

I think I’m going to look for another project to join and back. Not sure I can keep going with this community in its current state.

That's not exactly what I would call "being supportive of DERO" as you have claimed to always be. And let's not forget your demand to audit the source code, which could be construed as quite alarming if viewed from the prism of competitive advantage. My advice - worth the price paid - is that you take a few days or weeks or whatever to cool off and quit posting knee-jerk responses to every slight, real or imagined.

I have previously as well with other issues I have encountered (forking, payments, etc) found her to be friendly, helpful and professional. I am making sure to honor my previous assessments of character in every post I make because I am in as much disbelief as anyone over how this current situation has been handled.

Looking backwards at my history, I have been supportive. To your credit, there are posts about the ASICs and Auditing that I feel needed more attention and explanation as to why such an uncoventional path was being taken. Like I’ve said previously, my tone can be standoffish, which I’m well aware of, but I discuss that here because I care deeply about this project. If you remember the audit thread, I was not asking to personally audit it, I was asking to have it audited by any third party. It was not my intention to gain any competitive advantage, only to strengthen the project by addressing issues I’m certain other people were, and are continuing to, think about.

I desperately want this project to be successful, and am an opinionated person by nature. I would not be spending so much of my day on this point if I did not care deeply.

For this point I feel the issuance of bans based on non-publically available data (PMs) with no proof offered to the community other than I was rude is defeating to the vision of Dero to provide the world with a private, secure, decentralized platform. By definition blockchain, and especially private blockchain, is supposed to be among the most democratic and free systems of information flow there are. I wish this was all different from the beginning and never happened, but I cannot let it go for that reason alone.
