Hello Serena, Is it possible to explain at some point to the community how the transition between Asic mining to CPU and GPU mining is going to happen? Thaks for the info.

There won't be any ASICs built for our new algo when it launches and most have limited flexibility today so it's unlikely they will be able to rapidly adjust things to our new algo. We will have more information about the state of mining technology to release at some point in the future.

If the power consumption is lower than Lyra2z, It may become very popular.
When providing some kind of service, the situation that many miners gather is an absolute advantage.
It is likely to affect service.

Proof-of-work (PoW) algorithm: CryptoNight
Because the miners always see the line of algo, I think you'd better put in attractive words.

Q4/2018 - Strategic market expansion, team growth, and more (coming soon).
How about the details?

I like the simple Cli wallet, gives me a feel of being more in control. I will take that over the new Monero GUI anyday.

Good grief.  Guess you aren't aware that Monero has a CLI wallet also.

He said "NEW" and GUI, so I imagine he does know that.

Yeah the "simple cli wallet" is found in many coins and the Monero GUI is an example of how to not make a GUI wallet in 2018. But it seems that some people come here to FUD and are overly sensitive when Monero is mentioned, strange...

He called the Dero CLI wallet "simple".  And Dero doesn't even have a GUI wallet yet.

Not sure how you conflated the two things.

Simple:

composed of a single element; not compound.
synonyms:   noncompound, noncomplex, uncombined, unblended, unalloyed, pure, single
"simple chemical substances"

CLIs are simple by definition. Dero has had a GUI for the C++ version.

By reading them in sequence. Pretty straight forward.

I extrapolated that he was referring to the fact that there was an old wallet. Since he said "the new Monero GUI" it implies there was an old one.

edit: If you read above, he already replied explaining his statement so... Even though I'm already right, proving me wrong doesn't prove you right. I will not reply to you any further so please refrain from addressing me going forward.

The official website is a bit outdated, they must admit. It's missing also the source for the new alpha releases, the Discord group, the Telegram one, and some page optimizations (very high CPU usage). But as far as I know, they told the page is being reformulated (please, confirm if I'm right, or correct me).

This is correct.  The website is going through an overhaul.  With a little bit of research one would find this link:  https://forum.dero.io/t/dero-wallet-in-one-minute/110

The project is currently in Alpha.  Within 16 days, the newest release (named Atlantis) will go live, which will later bring with it updates to the website, whitepaper, wallet, and mining requirements.  Please be patient as the dev team finalizes the transition to Atlantis.

Haha yeah that is indeed strange. But the project is very real and advancing in big steps. The devs are 100% busy making the new blockchain.

Right click on the top of the window and scroll down to edit -> copy/paste (possibly select all -> copy)

If you are referring to pasting your seed for restore I had issues as well. The paste kept putting only a partial paste so I had to type it manually. Otherwise follow Serena’s advice

Has Dero successful implemented smart contracts? That would be huge news and pave way for Bitcoin to implement smart contracts sooner, considering there is a project that is working towards it

Interesting and quite open position of the team. I saw the announcement that the team will never under any pretext will not ask the participants for personal data, leaving them anonymous. The same command should be ahead of its Q2 roadmap

Honestly, this thread has been bumming me out, I’ve been a staunch supporter of Dero for months now and used to love the community’s helpful, synergistic vibe. I used to visit this thread and the Dero forum multiple times a day, but find myself coming less and less. The holier-than-thou approach of the team to an outpouring of disappointment from their early supporters and the toxicity that breeds has killed what I used to love coming to this community for.
