I really don't get it!
Because some asic manufacturers screw things up, we should be happy we are not  <insert bad word> entirely?
If 20 peoples gOt killed on the streets yesterday  am I supposed to be happy that I only got mugged?

Hey , look , that guy lost 10k$ , you should be happy you lost 1k$?!?!?
Let's throw a party ,we have no reason at all to celebrate but some people are worse than us so we should feel great! PARTYYYYYY!

It's more than just schadenfreude.
When competing companies deliver product, that product competes for a slice of the same cake we all have to split when we mine.
The coin mined by competition's miners, in other words, comes out of your pocket.  If they don't deliver -- more cake for you.

Who said that the trolling from the HF crew would have been amazing when they would have failed to deliver by the end of the year? I feel that coming.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

What about the guys that are responsible for this spike?

Is this hash rate spike:
http://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate related to the latest developments at HashFast?
Or it's all because of another company shipping/testing their hardware?

KnC November Batch. If HF would test stuff they would post proof.

Obviously the question is to mister Iceshill , I won't quote somebody who is in the ignore list of 90% people interested in this thread.

OK  we are today  11/12/2013 ,  i'm in france  :so..... it's impossible to have a  delivery for 31/12/2013., since hashfast at still dont tell anything at this time.....
No, this is wrong. We will have to wait at least the 25 for this conclusion.

True that if there is bad news, we can expect it late on the 24th, California time.  Hashfast aren't PR geniuses, but they are smart enough to know how to avoid a news cycle.

But what? Yeah empty Rig´s. Ohhh, we forgot to put the pcb boards inside.

each time you send a transaction don't forget to use a new address, each time you receive one also!

never seen a 5 days shipping from usa to france , man ...

If you ship a package with DHL or UPS from the USA on Friday it's guaranteed to arrive on Monday in Brussels. France should not be any different. That is 4 days max (Friday evening pickup, Monday noon delivery)

The closer it gets to Christmas the more you can throw any express delivery dates out the window unfortunately.

GN chip bringup - Now up to 96GH per die, 0.74v.
If they where legit they could really start shipping on the 13th.

On the off topic side, DHL is amazing.

Looks like they are getting closer to advertised specs.  384 GHs now.  I don't know if this sort of testing is all software or tweaks to the PCB.  My guess would be software in which case they can start the production hashing module run.

What do you think you can tweak on a PCB where everything is soldered and you have no magic switches?

Thus the theory that this is all in software domain, and they should be moving forward with the production run of PCBs (just make sure the capacitors stay on  Grin)

Of course in my quotes there can't be any happiness. But as I stated previously , it seems that some iceshill thinks we should be happy because others are having problems with their delivery date also.
Since I won't quote this guy , and I was both tired and sick of everything yesterday I didn't pay too much attention and didn't make a separate post.

0.74 V is below 28 nm high performance specs for TSMC, which have typical voltages of 0.85 V.  So if they are hitting 400 GH/s there, we should still have a lot of headroom.

Sadly true but after Christmas is a different story and that still gives them a couple days.  None of this excuses HashFast blatant lying on shipping timelines.  I am now convinced they knew from day 1 they had no chance of shipping before late late late December and simply lied to secure sales at a higher price point.  Hashfast would still have gotten sales but not at >$10 per GH/s if they were honest and gave a realistic shipping timeframe of mid to late Dec for Batch 1.   They lied in order to profit from their customers victims.  Pure and simple.
