I gave them bitcoins I want bitcoins back.. But the logical question is this.

If bitcoin crashed. Would you still want your bitcoins? Even tho in the contract they said full bitcoin refund... So if you gave them 6 bitcoins and it crashed, would you be mad if you got your 6 bitcoins back or would you storm the gates for cash refunds even tho you agreed to btc refunds....

I originally bought and payed with bitcoins and was told my refund would be in bitcoins.  If bitcoin crashed, and they gave me back my bitcoins (60 BTC, worth little or nothing) it would be fine.  They kept their end of the deal.
The fact is, Hashfast never kept their promises.

They lied and had no intent on delivering miners on October 20th.
They lied about giving us our refunds in BTC.
They could not keep their December 31st delivery date.
They could not keep their promise to deliver the MPP.

I payed 60BTC for my miner (1 miner) and I will probably see nothing or very little of that back.

PS. They made promises they new they couldn't keep and cost people millions of dollars.  That is fraud and they deserve jail time.

I am with you.. even if bitcoins went down to 10 dollars.. I would be very happy with my 210 bitcoins back.. (4 baby jets)

Has anyone outside of US received a letter from the bankruptcy court regarding the proceedings?

I have not received any so faf although I submitted the creditor's form.
Yes, I've gotten two.

i received it too but im not sure what to do with it.  i dont want to get charged more.

I filled the creditors file claim but had to type random zip code CA 00 00 to be able to submit the form. How did you guys pass this section?

Have you also send direct post letter to the court?
If so, would you be able to provide me court's address so I could write to them directly myself?

I posted this about a month ago, but it's probably worthwhile to put it up again.

Proof of claims need to be filed with the bankruptcy court.  The address is

Office of the Clerk
United States Bankruptcy Court
Northern District of California
P.O. Box 7341
San Francisco, CA 94120-7341

You should include a cover letter stating the case name (Hashfast Technologies, LLC) and number (14-30725) and requesting that the Clerk file the claim.

it is my understanding that a customer in the middle of a refund is a creditor thru chapter 11.  I dont think the mpp will be.. i could be wrong.

Meh, it looks like that Barber is unable to pay for his family expenses.

What a game they will be playing.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

Guess he should have thought about that before he defrauded all his customers.  If they want to trot out the sob stories; There was a customer at the creditor's meeting this past Tuesday who borrowed a large amount of money from his mom's retirement account to buy Hashfast equipment.  Needless to say he was not in a happy place.

Edit: Almost forgot; Simon also mentioned at the creditor's meeting on Tuesday that he was going to be taking a month long vacation, traveling internationally, starting next week.

I received a mail from the court telling me that case no. 14-30725 (proposed to be) jointly administered with case no. 14-30866.

I log in to pacer and found I am listed as a creditor under 14-30725, not in 14-30866. Do I need to file another claim as a creditor in 14-30866?

14-30725 is the correct case.  You are fine as it stands.

That is just a fancy way of saying the company's request to file for Bankruptcy was approved by the court.  All you really have to do at this point is register your claim with the court.  You can do this yourself easily enough. It is basically a one page form where you give your name, address, say how much you are owed by Hashfast and provide supporting evidence for your claim such as a copy of the sales invoice showing what you paid.  There are some links to the appropriate form back a couple pages.
