Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin

I dont think ethereum is going to be more expensive than bitcoin in 2018 but i honestly believe that ethereum is going to start dominating the crypto market very soon and ethereum's total market cap will be higher than bitcoin as well.

Etherium will overtake bitcoin! That is a tough question to answer directly. But if we look at the current statistics than it seems like a long time talk. Because right now bitcoin is the king of all crypto. On the other hand, Etherium is just getting hype for ICO! So if we talk for next two years, surely bitcoin will remain top of Etherium.

Maybe it will, in price. It will never take over Bitcoin's brand, it's great distribution and it's great system to be a store of value. ETH can be used as store of value too, it's just not as good as Bitcoin.

Smart contracts are great, they work better when ETH price isn't too high though. Don't like having to pay over $5 for some simple contracts. Now that Bitcoin fees are lower again, BTC can rise again

In my opinion, this is not impossible to happen in the near future even though right now, the cryptocurrency market as whole is entwined with Bitcoin. But ETH is a very good investment and have the best positioned to win compare to other coins. Simple and easy. I predict that Ethereum has a chance to exceed and will run through itself from Bitcoin. But before that ETH may need to pass through lots of success done by Bitcoin helping things perform discreet transaction, so it maybe takes a lot of effort and more hard work for ETH.

I think it is not a logic prediction that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin, for now. Of course I think ethereum has a really good potential for the future to reach a wonderful value and price, but for now, I think bitcoin will continue being the king of the cryptocurrencies.

Well, at present, ETH will not be able overtake bitcoin in terms of value as well as influence on the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin has 10 years of establishment and development to become great on the world community. Of course, bitcoin will be honored for its utility, efficiency and value creation. However, in my opinion, coin-making technology is at the core of development and competition. ETH is innovative with state-of-the-art technology, safety, service and high quality. I think this is difficult. Bitcoin is already at the top compared to other crypto coins. If ethereum overtook bitcoin I think it would be a hard time for cryptocurrency. Or it could be said that cryptocurrency will start all over again. That's just my opinion. The obvious bitcoin is hard

Ethereum do not position itself as a currency, but it has a great perspective for growth it is obviously, currently very big amount of payments are going thru Ethereum blokchain because it is chipper, then using bitcoin, but soon I think lightning network implementation will happen, and everything will stand in its order, bitcoin will be number one cryptocurrency without a question.

I think Ethereum rised up quickly because of ICO's. They claim their money with Ethereum and they trade them in markets. This situation affect the market volume and market price of Ethereum.

To be honest mate this could happen if bitcoin loses its power if the icos that are coming out stop using bitcoin to trade their tokens but i dont think its ever gonna happen. Will see . and if it does we hope it doesnt affect us.

What are you basing this on, or are you just hoping for a dip in BTC price to get some?
