Good news this time! Today i shipped out the first thumbs. The rest will be shipped tomorrow. I'll send out tracking numbers as soon as i have them. It feels damn good to get these things out there! They work. They work well. Some are hashing comfortably above 3 GH/s ! Thank you all for your patience (those that HAVE been patient ) Feels pretty great to get to this milestone. On other good news, our new parts are with the factory and the other boards should be done tomorrow. I might even get some sleep one day soon. And now.... Thumb porn! Ready for launch! Enjoy. Congrats Barn', it seems this is home strech before mining with this! So you confirm all the fab (8-chips boards) would be done this week? Can you state whether you ship everything from China directly to us or via AUS (except for US)? If direct from China, are theses boards tested before shipping? Then about software, can you give details how to handle (make run) Drillbit? According to me there's not yet support from CGMiner nor BFGMiner. For now, we only know that CGminer modified was used during development. Have you sent also some tips (software, config, tools,..) with the first Drillbit thumb?

Another Congrats Barntech. Are you guys gonna party or what when you get those bad boys running and out the door? BTW - Remember what I told you on October 15th and earlier regarding China? What is happening in China is probably not what many think. The government gave the silent OK to BTC, and on a few occasions. You are seeing huge amounts of money flowing into BTC there and it is pulling our markets along. The scary part imo, it is just getting started. I'm curious about CGMiner on Minepeon also, would love to get the image burned once you have the information. Great job, looking forward to mining. Enjoy the volatile ride guys. I really DON'T suggest trading this. The market can run to $1000-$1500 imo (by looking at the charts). And if you like priced projections (looking at the past run ups) then the number is around $3000. But, it will be Über volatile. Just relax and enjoy the show, it is history in the making. Speaking of, the Senate Hearings yesterday were a thing of Beauty for BTC. If you missed them - http://www.banking.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Hearings.Hearing&Hearing_ID=955322cc-d648-4a00-a41f-c23be8ff4cad(At least watch the BTC guys speak, the interesting thing about the Governments perspective is that they were for BTC essentially, not ever against it.) Second this, would be great to see beagle bone and rPi images for Minepeon/Mineninja that work out of the box on the boards/thumbs Thanks!

I cant answer on the software but I can on the shipping. Looks like the boards should be done here within 48 hours, and then will be dispatched after a small amount of testing to AUS, and me in the US. At least from me, all boards will then be tested again (Not sure how long... suggestions?) and then immediatly shipped out same day via UPS Next Day/2nd Day air [depending on location]. As soon as we know the boards are done, we can give concrete delivery.

I'd sample test say 1/10th of the boards for a few hours on testnet. That'd be my recommendation

I will be shipping from MO. Middle of the country, and if your anywhere close to me Im ok with local pickup . And I just want to say guys - Barn has been working very hard behind the screens to bring this all together... this stuff is immensely complex.

I would have thought 15 minutes each, but you can take as long as you need if you want to get plastered by config files and you set cgminer to rotate every x minutes. I have a few pools I want to clean out of and I need a minimum of .01 to gut it.

I'd sample test say 1/10th of the boards for a few hours on testnet. That'd be my recommendation That is pretty dangerous (I think). I'm pretty sure all boards need to be tested, the question is for how long. I'm not sure of the failure rate and the test time in general. Perhaps it depends a bit on when the boards arrive. Having them run overnight is not a bad idea. Just my thinking but perhaps some people with experience can help you out. I imagine Barntech and company are the experts here. IAS

IAS I would prefer to test over night as well- but some people would prefer to get something in their hands ASAP. Or accuse me of mining on their boards etc. Maybe Test everyboard for an hour or so.. that should be doable.

I think that would be WAY too time consuming... Unless everyone in the US wants to buy hosting that would be way to consuming. Just the 45min/ board would be a strain on my capabilities without killing shipment time.

Well I sort of hopped someone got one of those huge asic usb plugs and disconnect as long as the errors are within your range limits.
I just figured you could get 300 people to send one pool and as your working cgminer will jump in and out of pools so we'd each get a fubar of shares for a short time. They don't have to be in any order. Its like a thanks giving gift ;P.
At least then you have everyone qued in your messages to send out shipping tags as well.

If DOAs are found, are there spare boards in the batch to replace them? It would be terrible to have further delays due to DOAs... If someone had to wear the delay, would it be the last in the queue?
