I am tempted to take a screenshot of the paltry sums I get from Slush each round to post there, but I don't want to risk getting banned if Slush doesn't take well to his pool being hopped.

Haha.  Don't get me wrong, I am definitely coming out ahead, but compared to the prop pools I am making MUCH less from Slush.  Pretty much over 200% efficiency at most prop pools while slush is around 130%.

Does bitHopper have xpath support for scraping? It's more reliable when you write very good xpaths that don't break when webmaster changes <b> to <div> or whatever

If anyone pulled from the github and are gettings error 24, this is what it needs to be changed to:

deepbit broken with the updated pool.cfg & user.cfg?

can't seem to hop there as backup more than 15 seconds..it hops out to eligius.
i wrote all the necessary info on both files.

Can you please fix the crash when internet connection drops suddenly.. Bithopper crashes when there is no connection available.

I'm using the newest c00w release from the git. hmm. This is odd.

I prefer faster pools and do I need many pools or just a few what is best.

If you are using the latest version of c00ws bitHopper then you do not need to edit the pool.cfg only the user.cfg. Generally it's best to have as many pools as possible that will work and be most efficient. The pools I have mining are:

BTCPool24
bitcoinmoney.com
bitminersunion
mtred
ozco.in
polmine.pl
rfcpool
triplemining
bloodyspool

and for backup pools I currently use:

arsbitcoin
ninjacoin.com

Also there is plenty of information in this 101 page thread to answer just about any question you have.

well in my book the more you mine the "backup" sites the less you are hopping... the less benefits you get from hopping as all those shares are generally worth 1.


But I do see the problem with just me hopping on some of these micro sites.. like dig bitcoin has 9ghz.. so they should average a block every 9 days.. which means I'll be mining there for 4 days to get to 43%

seems like that would screw with my hopping potential as well or at least my variance.

This is the problem I have at the moment. I found that you need to closely monitor the pools and switch from micro pools to larger pool if one becomes available then back to micro pool or let it go to backup. Also any thing under 20 Ghash/s I don't mine on since it will only take ages to find a block like you said.

this is the benefit of the ryouiki fork. I really wish these code bases would come back together. if you are on hoppersden, take a look at the simulation output from ryouiki. all props to c00w for creating the base but I've used the ryo fork since it first appeared (with a day or so of a recent c00w release) and I'm very pleased with it. Different strokes for different folks, though. But if you identify with these recent comments, check out ryouiki's fork.
