EDIT: couple mins later, just saw another LP hit and went over to deepbit...mining there again. Is there a bug thats causing deepbit to get mined on every LP? ... it seems thats the behaviour even when the LP says someone else owns the block.
I wait for the stats They are slow at deebit... Update: unless Deepbit is very lucky right now, I guess there's a problem with the LP hop to Deepbit... It only mines at Deepbit now...

Deepbit is evil! Help the small guys to grow and take something away from those top 3 pools! Do I really have to say: "Fuck globalisation, fuck central an all controlling [ADD YOUR PICK] and blaa blaa blaa? Do I? OK, I put penalty 2.00 hopping deepbit will chicken out their miners

If we could get deepbit to change from proportional to empps or something similar it would be amazing. I'm sure they will just degrade their LP responses though...

Ive got bitHopper running on my main machine with 2 GPUS, and 10 more miners from other machines that connect to it. Including browsing the internet I have used 61.7MB down and 25.6MB up today. Do you have some other software doing auto updates or something in the background?
ok, I think, the first important step will be the miner on the second PC connect to this PC's bithopper... (because now it is running here 2 times) how can I do this (if the ip changes every reboot)? If your talking about your LAN, you could always set a static ip or setup a dhcp reservation. I just use hostnames, works good so far.

Wait, what? I thought deepbit was on PPS. (No matter I don't get how you hop them. ^^) So if they are on prop, why didn't we hop before? No stats?

that seems more than high to me.. we are only sending small strings of text back and forth.. even blocks are normally in the kb range.
chek to see if you got a virus.. make sure wifi is secure
I am going to monitor the miner and hopper and see what I come up with.. but there is no way it is that much i wouldnt think.
I'm on linux, there is not possible a virus I think the miner really sends only small strings (I have had it running last month without bithopper and the end of my limit/month was 3 days before the month) but I think the constantly monitoring of the pool stats makes much traffic (my speculation) As first step I have now connected my 2. PC to this (the main) PC's bithopper. - but if there is some problems or rebooting necessary the connection to this PC is over because it has a new ip! The second PC has no Monitor and I have always to plug the cables from one to another Therefore I am looking for a working solution. I have tried with vnc, but there is the ip problem after rebooting and it is very slow. Has anybody eperience with nomachine nx server? http://www.nomachine.com/download.php I have tried it, but was not able to establish a connection with ssl and have not found much help on the net... I'm very glad to hear from you how much traffic you have and how it is possible to decrease it TIA

These are my most recent deepbit stats:
Block Shares Time/Link Found in Your Total Reward 09.08 10:19:29 0h 03m 25 270595 0.00448087 09.08 10:15:55 0h 01m 7 125063 0.00271463 09.08 10:14:11 0h 07m 0 608030 None 09.08 10:06:16 0h 44m 76 3392096 0.00108664 09.08 09:21:52 0h 20m 0 1586080 None
Oh, and it seems because deepbit doesnt use slicing method on default slicer... Because of this the fresh block on slush was skipped entirely... =/ I dont know if this is the desired behaviour, just some feedback!

This seems to work 09.08 20:19:29 0h 03m 144 270595 0.02580979 09.08 20:15:55 0h 01m 64 125063 0.02481949 09.08 20:14:11 0h 07m 288 608030 0.02297255 I now put Deepbit on Penalty 2.5 with Threshold 60, so it stops mining at 25% and see what it does for the same roundlengths...

So, I got a question...are we just assuming when a LP is thrown...deepbit owns it and we are hopping to it regardless(cuz they are so huge)? Cuz it seems w/ every LP event, it mines deepbit.

@gentarkin / HOW DOES IT WORK We assume if the LP response from deepbit is first then deepbit owns it. We actually reset the owner to take into account if another pool drops but currently we don't reset deepbits starts due to that.
It looks like efficiency is good. Parai got about 168% and magnet got about 559% efficiency. I just did the calculations for you guys.
EDIT:However I haven't actually gotten my server to mine on deepbit. Only my dev machine. So there may still be errors.

But, I hardly ever see the "owned by" stat in the window = deepbit. Its usually someone else. But it still switches to mine deepbit in that case anyways.

Im confused....dont we need more pools set to info to be able to tell who requested the first LP?
I have nearly all pools set to info, currently mine: triplemining, rcfpool, ozco, mtred, bitcoinpool, bitcoinmonkey, slush (mine_slush), deepbit (mine_deepbit) and BTCguild (mine_deepbit)
I am using bitpit as my backup
All other pools w/ valid stats (afaik) are set to info.
