OldDefault selects the pool with the least shares

When i use old default i like to use the penalty system.. I set my slowest pools at 2.. medium pools 1.25-1.75 and fast pools at 1.. works well for me so far.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Ah, that sounds like a good strategy

deepbit is a bit too fast.. i might need to start with penalty of 10 and work my way back down to 1 for deepbit.

it has the second most submitted shares for me right now.. second to mtred.. trying to penalize mtred so it goes to deepbit more but deepbit is so freaken fast..

you do have some deepbit shares submitted though right?

are you using default or old default or the slice scheduler

I'm on olddefault..

With old default... will it switch off deepbit if slush finds a new block and has less shares... till slush reaches the 11% target?

it should as long as slush has less shares.. if someone has 4%.. and slush hits 5.. it will hop tot eh 4%.. the way I understand it.. but I havent paid much attention to slush

Jesus christ, this thread is a forum in itself.  If only there were some forums only for hoppers.  Like some kind of virtual den that hoppers could hang out and talk about all this in an organized fashion.

Yeah, nothing here.   There's obviously something bugging it somewhere.

Im running startLP and OldDefaultScheduler and I'm not seeing any deepbit shares in the last 2 hours. Anyone using OldDefaultScheduler and have Deepbit working? How often does deepbit kick in?
