1.We have found the issue that was preventing our control board from working with our ASICs.
2.We have started manufacturing the X1 with our control boards.
3.The LCD + Touch sample was supposed to be delivered today but was postponed until next Wednesday. This is the 5th factory of LCD that fails us. We are planning to ship X1s without LCD if the customers approves. We will contact each customer individually for approval before shipment.
4.We have received and tested successfully a board to connect a single X3 Hashboard to RPI. This solution was planned to be used as a testbench in order to find a solution to get multiple X3 hashboards working together and just now we’ve been able to start 2 boards at 400Ghash using the same RPI. We are still testing to see if the solution is stable and we are planning to start using this temporary solution for Rent-A-Minion programme.
5.We’ve been working daily with the 1st design company and we have been reviewing and optimizing the new design for X3 (5 hash boards, 10 chips). We are going to tape out the sample board this week or next Monday. Development of this board took longer than we had hoped as we kept modifying it based on the findings from testing. We now know that if we would have taped out this board as planned it would have failed.
6.The 2nd design company has hoped to finish the design of the Hashboard last Monday but has not finished it yet.
7.The 3rd design company did not promised us a date so far but yesterday we’ve received an almost completed design of the new Hashboard.
8.The 4th company made no progress on the design as they are still trying to find the issue with the current solution.
9.We have started developing X2 @ 240Ghash using the X3 boards as we have the boards already manufactured.

What are the data rates going over the SPI bus?

Is there a web interface and does the unit initialise using DHCP?

I'm still not sure how now, after all this time, we STILL, have no LCD's. News of this X2 makes me hope they're being built for some sort of compensation package

Bobsag, how will this affect MinerSource and their ability to supply the X1's? Are you taking a shipment sans LCDs to ship out or waiting for them to come in? I understand this news has only just come to hand but would like to hear from you

And if the X3 ever does ship, I really can't see how they can afford to give proper compensation; they'll 100% go bankrupt.

Not if they've been mining them all this time.  They would have plenty of cash to provide good compensation and maybe even enough for us to recoup our losses.  They win, we go away bruised but can't complain!

It is pure lies there is no way they went through 5 failed LCD comapnies, the truth is they are buying time and have been since Feb. It has been long enough time to start shipping the miners BA, this joke has gone on long enough.

I really feel for bobsag3, MinerSource and of course, us. All bobsag3 was trying to do is run a company and sell a product from a supplier.... it's now turned into a massive headache for him and his company. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes that's for sure

We just had a new major breakthrough: Using 2 boards we've made two X3 boards to run stable. The result is 400Ghash at 1Ghz. We're still looking into ramping up to 1.2Ghz and 5 boards.

It make one wonder why Minersource had an order of X-1s returned to BA last week to 100% completed as ordered if only now the control boards are working,no LCDs and no mention of the plastic cases at all. Is BA bullshitting their resellers as well ,can't find that post where Bobsag3 had confimation that BA would have their entire backlog of X-1s shipped in 2-3 weeks,or my cut and paste of it on ecointalk

Seems naive to believe this. No proof like tracking number / pics from BA logistic department etc.
Obviously just a claim (unneeded lie) to calm down ppl that preordered.
