Remember when they were 8 days ahead of schedule? Good times: Bitcoin Miners progress update – 10 April 2014
1. Minion
Received news from Global Foundries: they are 8 days ahead of schedule and will ship the wafers next week
Have discussed and received great support from our packaging company, we’re looking forward to receive the chip.
2. X3 hashboard – final design
We have received the X3 hashboard sample, 2 days later than expected.
Pending assembly
3. X3 backplane – final design
Adjusted parts based on feedback from the case
Reviewing design, will send to factory tomorrow.
4. X1 hashboard – final design
PCB has been assembled
5. X1 backplane – final design
Completed, sent to factory
6. Control board – final design
Waiting for LCD + touchscreen factories
7. X3 case
has been corrected based on all the parts
plastic parts have been sent to factory for review
8. X1 case
has been designed, pending review

I will still be receiving my first batch next week, I have elected to receive the entire batch without the LCD in order to get them ASAP. Screens will be received and distributed after the fact those who want it.

Do you have any idea about whether they will have the plastic case or the metal one? Metal. I never advertised or stated the X1s would have wifi or anything of the sort, so I am full steam ahead in getting the X1s out to customers ASAP. Most dont care for the LCDs as stated here often enough. |

Most dont care for the LCDs as stated here often enough. Completely agree, don't care about LCD (possibly want in future if it ever gets fixed for resell purposes) or WiFi (LAN is better anyway), but my concern is stacking of units, which was and still is advertised, but David has said will not be possible with metal case. Has this been fixed or will we need tons of space to spread them out? When I visited I was shown the render for the stacker, looked pretty awesome. I dont know the current status of it, I will check. |

Information like this changes a lot of things, thank you for making Minersource a great company that is able to keep things moving foward and letting us know about it. I appreciate the feedback. I should be getting most if not all of my B1 X1s next week, and we will be pulling as long days as required to get as many shipped back out same day as physically possible. Even our UPS pickup guy has offered to chip in if we need the help. |

BA, I think you'd better think about the huge compensation if x3 still delayed...
truly I hope you fixed the X3 and ship to me now with good compensation...
but as everybody can see here...it's impossible for now
BA,I really suggest you just refunds us...refunds us in a fair way ..
take me as example..if you paid me bitcoin?you should refunds me BTC values 6068USD wich my order cost..of course you can refunds me through bank..if you still refuse to refund..We have to add and increase compensation for refunds...
or you may can't afford all the customers' compensation both for refunds and hashing units..if delayed still

How locked is the Rpi on the BA X-1? Can CGminer still be modified to be a pool for other miners on the network?

Semi related - do we know if there's any chance of getting the lcd's shipped out after the miners for customers comfortable installing them? Honestly I prefer mine to have no screen (less power draw) but if I could install it later it could boost resale value. Thank you again. |
