This is great news.

Also, if anyone is interested I'm making custom displays to fill the hole left by the missing LCDs.

Using state of the art Static Display Technology and a cellulose pulp substrate, these displays are guaranteed to be 100% accurate all the time while using zero energy whatsoever.

See Below.

But in all seriousness, I'm glad you got the shipment without much strife. Hoping to see a tracking number relatively soon.
Cheers.

I think regardless of what they refund you in - Bitcoin or USD it is OK as long as the value of the refund is the same as what you originally paid (minus a processing fee if they charge one).
And that's the problem. They choose the option where the value is less, regardless of the exchange rate.

Theres a clear different between pre-orders up thru april that took BTC and said BTC was forwarded BA, and further orders when we switched to Bitpay and Shopify and BTC was then cashed out to USD and sent to BA. Pretty simple.

The arrangement between you and your supplier is irrelevant to the contract between you and your customers. If someone ordered $5,000 worth of merchandise and paid you, you have to refund them the same amount in whatever currency you choose to refund in. Anything else means your "refund" is not really a refund at all.

For the most part the general consensus I have seen is that people should be refunded in the 'currency' / "medium of exchange" that was used to make the purchase. If you give someone 3 chickens for a BTC miner... then its worth 3 chickens. If I give someone 12 pesos... its worth 12 pesos.  The relative value of chickens to pesos is irrelevant. If you want to value things in US dollars you should buy from companies that accept US dollars for payment.

Not really. When I buy something priced in US dollars with my Canadian credit card, the amount gets converted into US dollars. When I get the refund, the amount of US dollars gets automatically converted into Canadian dollars at the current going rate. So I get back the same amount I paid in US dollars - that is what a refund means because this is what I have paid at the time of my purchase. If I paid a merchant $5,000 then I expect a refund of $5,000 - I don't see how you can interpret it any other way.

And just so we're clear, Minersource prices are in US dollars. If Minersource or BA chose not to convert the BTC they have received that is their prerogative, but that doesn't change the value of your order.

I got a rockminer sitting in customs for the last 24hrs why do people keep making me wait.

Shoulda bought it from us Tongue

X1s wer just delivered Smiley

Setting them up for testing, pictures to follow.

To confirm: These are complete working X1s, minus the LCD. They have the customer controller and everything.

Why are you testing these units? Didn't Black Arrow already test them?

I have an X-1 from Minersource in hand now. I am posting up details in a separate thread as I go through the set up process.

The box looks great... hopefully it runs as good!

Our first units did not include any power cables, we will be ordering enough spare cables at least for all our US customers. Several people did local pickups today, hence them having them so fast.

wow! So somebody drove from Southern California to pick up their miner in Colorado and drove all the why back home to post "The first of my X-1 units arrived today."

Hi all -

Will I accept FIAT or bitcoins?
- I am happy to accept bitcoin or USD via any of the typical payment formats.

Will I do an in person exchange?
- Yes, I am located in Southern California.

Will I use escrow?
- Yes, the fee will be added on top of the sale price.

When will this auction end?
- I have a handful of people interested at the $2000 price in the initial post. (Which is about 29.4 BTC as of today.) If you are interested in making new offers please let me know.

Will I ship outside of the USA?
-Yes, the cost of shipping will be added to the sale price.

Is there anybody on this forum that can be trusted? Hell! I just learned that the guy who invented Bitcoin (Satoshi Nakamoto) doesn't even exist or is in hiding for some reason. I thought Bitcoin was a company up to today. I didn't even know that when I worked at butterfly labs not that it matter any.

I'm in the IE too. Moreno Valley.

So have you tested any units if you don't have power cables, I assume you tested a few, but not in bulk? How long will it be to get the cables and will our orders be put on hold until those come in?  can we request the units be sent without cables and we can source our own or pay for shipping for those separately?

We have a few cables around the office, and we were informed the cables were on a seperate shipment that was not delivered today.

You are making the assumption that people treat BTC as a currency rather than a barter good. That is probably a mistake.

You can buy the power cables at Frys or microcenter or steal them from a laptop, etc. They are standard Mickey Mouse cables. C13 would have been better though.

Yeah power cables are a dime a dozen, but it's really weird that they wouldnt include them.

Probably scared for my life is the prudent course of action.

My mistake. You moved from California to Colorado I guess. I was just using eBay to make the connection. That is how I found you now here... http://www.meetup.com/bitcoin-denver/members/110640/ And don't get me started on that Centernix crowd funding thing that you just happened to find but really it's you here... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=281216.0 Ain't it amazing how the biggest liars always seem to get their equipment first while others wait and wait and wait thanks to the company being kind enough to make sure it's working properly before shipping and if they do ship it's obsolete.

Trust me I'm not Phinneus Gauge or PG or Phinnaeus Gage (had to look up the right spelling). I worked at Butterfly labs and was only helping out those guys when I found a link to this mining company and after reading a bit I saw parallells. This one seems to be a worser scam than bfl. Not sure but did find a Romanian connection... http://www.weblo.com/member/NeXuS999
