Oh ok, 100k shares in nee & bee or Ukyo loan you mean ?
I think most people on bitcointalk is reacting on how the stock is handled and on the information or lack of information from official representative from the company, not how the actual offices of nee&bee is effected or not as most people isent based locally in Cyprus and have no way to easy check whats going on there. Thats probably why people react like you say they do.

@CAFE NEO:  You keep posting in the wrong thread, but hey --it's  Saturday night, I'll answer you here.

Neo has shuttered its offices, stopped paying its creditors and its employees.  There's a warrant out for its CEO.  Not sure if costs can be reduced any further.

This is for anyone who has been around longer than 1 year:

Is the level of failures, scamming, and just plain incompetence on par with other years or is the last year different?

I'm thinking of BFL, Neo, MtGox, Bitfunder, TradeFortress, ActiveMine, Hashfast

Sure... 5 posts and you own 100k shares... nobody will believe you until you post pictures with an actual newspaper shown in it or something like that.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

The situation with the police is as follows: Danny got 20,000 euros from one customer, and 15,000 euros from another,to give them equivalent bit coins, and at the same time manage there wallets.
Danny made the wallets, put the equivalent bit coins in .
So no funny business until then .But since Danny left Cyprus the two persons got scared and they reported the matter to the police.
They have the wallets, the bit coins but they cannot access the wallets.
That was quick, you left some other country on Friday ~07:30 European time, and by the end of that day you had traveled to Cyprus, visited the central office and the store, assessed the financial situation, and talked to the police about the coins.  Did you drive, or did you take the high-speed train?

Add BitVPS, Havelock Investment Fund...

There is a thread that was supposed to keep track of scams, heists and failures: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=83794.0  But it is no longer being updated it seems.   Sad

When Havelock, where most of this fail is traded, is itself a fraud1, what can you expect from the securities traded there?  Everything that doesn't start out as a scam turns into one.  If it doesn't fail some honest, old fashioned way first.

1. Claiming to be a licensed exchange, claiming its value to be $60 million dollars at IPO time, fabricating profit projections at least an order of magnitude above realized, etc., etc.

No different than previous years.  Every year one or more exchanges get hacked/close down, pyramid schemes collapse and nearly all IPO's fail either by accident or design. So far there has only been one real exception to this rule, and that is/was Asicminer.
