Don't you see connection between current malleability issues and Bitfunder ? Maybe Bitfunder was first victim of "malleability feature" in bitcoin protocol? I know you can't transfer any coins between wallets without confirmations of the network ... UNTIL you don't use custom made software with hot wallets in your system which allows exactly this kind of instant transfers, which are crucial for exchanges like bitfunder.

It might be helpful to check out the weexchange portal addresses too. That means the addresses where the 6.1% were paid out from.
So everyone who got a payment from the weexchange portal, the 6%, could send my the address the payment came from anonymously via pm or can post it here in the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=437154

It looks there are long trails of payout addresses that can be followed but there are different trails so having an address in each trail would be needed.

It's really at the level on a complete moron to resend 6251BTC/2 to the same people twice and empty the wallet.

Firstly there would have to be people who requested 3125.5BTC (i.e. had that much in Weex) and then were able to change the txn and get it confirmed before the original txn every time. Then they would have to request a resend. Then Ukyo would have to have not noticed this (well known 2 year old issue) until he had done it with 3125.5BTC
He would also know who he sent twice the BTC (6251BTC) to.

The whole issue here is that the BTC for Weex is required to be kept separate from any other scam he was running.
The Weex balance was just that - the Weex balance, not some part of some wallet that he could play with.
... and since he stated he had an Accountant (as required) the balance should have had at least 2 sets of eyes keeping track of it.
Of course it sounds very much like he wasn't even doing this.

Not even that is all that true anymore. Unclaimed claims of those 6.1 % are addressed with:

Withdraws in maintenance mode due to old bitcoind system. Apparently there was a network issue with block 277596. This is being worked on to resolve the issue.

When we finally dont get all our funds back, there should people in every world city, prepared to spend some time in Ukyo's face. Also, the placard/s need to be big enough to advertise embarrassment to any present or potential associates.
Of course, if Ukyo's belief of returning funds does actually materialize, thats great, and his poor judgement and fuckups may have been worth suffering, but seriously, wheres the faintest bit of evidence that Ukyo has the capability to produce 4000+BTC? I mean, he could have even asked his incompetent friend Mark K, if its ok to buy up some cheap BTC @$300 yesterday.

Over 75 BTC stuck and I raised the alarm first of anyone. I didn't know either party until this happened.

Ukyo has been on the other end of my anger as tat will attest to (he told me off!), as will others who had been present on irc when this blew up. I am also not anonymous.

However, I understand that the most important thing is fixing this mess and made myself available to help. To that end, I was allowed limited extra knowledge on a confidential basis to evidence that things are being done as they need to be. One or two others have helped in similar ways, but I have agreed to post as such despite the flack that results. The point is that Ukyo is not the only person trying to get things moving.

If it ever gets to the point where I think something dubious is going on, I'll say so. I have a shed load more money at stake than most of you which tends to concentrate the mind on moving forwards. What matters is Ukyo getting the situation back where he should be so we can all get on with our bitcoin lives.

I met Danny face to face very recently and talked about WeEx (hence why I was away briefly), as well as had a number of calls with him about it. This is being taken extremely seriously and being given the utmost priority.

Danny has explained as best as he can why more information cannot be forthcoming, ie legal reasons.

Yeah that was ActiveMining which is not something I have had anything to do with since early September. I'm not happy with their recent actions re: ukyo's shares or in general but I still hope it works out.

I am neither a business associate or friend of ukyo although I -have- offered to help out if manpower is needed or if he does anything in areas in which I'm experienced. I just want our money and prefer to be pragmatic. I've done the anger phase - it's not helpful.

Denial can be a strong force.  I mean, what could Ukyo even possibly be 'working on' that could get us our deposits back. There are just no feasible 'problems' that he is 'working on' that he 'can't talk about' having to do with our coins 'being gone'.  I don't necessarily suggest getting angry, but you should either move on to (by now) that all your coins have all been lost or do something about it, if ever.  

Really. Really. Be honest with yourself.  Do you REALLY think that all of sudden Ukyo is going to come back to the forums and be like 'oh hai guys, ya i 'solved' the issue you can now rightfully have back all the deposits you made.'   ....  lol, I just have to laugh at that, despite myself.


I said it month ago.  And I'll guess I'll come back in a month from now and say it again.  Ukyo is only buying time, saving his own ass, he did something illegal to lose all of our deposits, he is a criminal, and so far his BFL-type 'wait and promise while taking money' strategy is working really well.
