What kind of hashrate should I expect from my r9 290?  Highest stable I can get is about 80kh/s with I-13, tc 1600, e 999, m1440

Is this about right?

170kh/s on my 290. dig thru some of the earlier posts in this thread, there are 3 different flavors for a 290 depending on brand, system ram, and version of OS.

being Nvidia you do have to do things differently as its CUDA

ya know, i thought i was a little light, even with my VRM gpu problem, which i remedied. 350kh should be getting 175-200 utc. pool reports between 280-440kh. AP set to 50, if i get 160-175 total every other day with AP every 9-10 hours, im lucky. takin me 10-12 hours per AP to make 100 utc on the other day. Diff is factored in and thats the 2 hour difference, but payout is still lower than i feel should be. Orphans are only 3 utc of all total mined. I blamed it vardiff and my vrm, but once i cooled my gpu and clocks maintained where i set them, still no big difference. My WU is normal, no hw, 1 reject per session. 290, 2 270x = 350kh.

Honestly, I'm a noob at mining so I haven't tried it on normal script.
I've tried to work with cudaminer but idk how to make the config work. It just opens and closes intimately.
I'm on windows 7 and as for OpenCL, not sure where to find that. But the drivers are up to date.

no opencl for Nvidia. Nvidia uses Cuda. OpenCL is the AMD api for GPU computing and the base libraries come as part of the driver download. You can download the whole sdk as well if you wish.
