Buying 13 BTC worth of DRK tonight to allow me to enter the DRK rich list top 10. The future is now.
That's a low amount of money needed to be in the top 10 list then. The market cap isn't high though.

I found some interesting commentary about X11 in the dogecoin subreddit:

http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/23fk2i/very_long_very_serious_development_summary_week/

Sigh what a pity.  Both Doge and Litecoin are embracing ASICS. And the centralisation of mining power to people who need to turn a profit quickly just to keep mining. It's really sad actually. Even if they make it through arrival of the titan and whatever comes next what made them a community to begin with is gone - everyone mined a few doge with readily available tech around the world and thereby understood how it all works.

Been actively pushing for Doge to go X11 or at the very least anything other than ASICS.

Would be great for both Doge and Dark I believe.

The problem is once you have a whole ecosystem of adopting merchants, exchanges, mega pools and ASIC companies dropping in millions, an algorithmic hardfork is a nightmare. I for one think (and responded) that one thing is end users and solo miners, another is companies that have huge interests in the currency. They have the responsibility to accommodate updates/coding if they are professionals.

HOW is it a nightmare? Dev rewrites client, it gets pushed out as a mandatory update. That's it.

If I'm wrong then please explain otherwise.

 I don't know!! I thought so myself!!

That was the firm explanation and prime argument. I'm not a coder!

My intuition says its BS... not the reason why they would say so, but the explanation itself. But like I said, I'm not a coder

I don't believe you are. I think a lot of the Top Doges have put in ASIC orders.

Yeah. You can have multiple payments to the same address in 1 transaction and it's legal, so it's something on their side.

It was on their side, support helped me out. Thank you.

Eduffield.

Make any clones/copy pasters forward their fees into the DRK masternode and not their subsystem. Transact to a "cointainer" auto-trading it to DRK and then payout in DRK to the masternode. This will create a PoS system and edge vs clones making the value rise more brutal.

I think us DRK supporters have been silently happy for it being so undervalued for so long, everybody had time to buy at 12 or under. There was the big dump on polo on late February an a consistent under priced valuation for weeks. That is why I call BS on the unfair distribution claim everybody had time to get in cheap, but this is it, that window is now closing, more people are learning about DRK's potential and we couldn't keep it a secret any longer and with RC2 coming soon this is about the last chance to buy DRK under 1USD.

After this week, Im closing my buying phase and moving on to setting master nodes to support the network.

This can't work with open source, which is what DRK eventually must become. Only one knowledgable person needs to change the relevant code to prevent this payment and then open source that. The copy-pasters will copy that instead.  In any case, clone paranoia is overdone. The first-mover advantage in crypto is massive.

Yep exactly.  Embracing ASICs is the worst possible move DOGE can make.  DOGE is supposed to be a fun, newbie friendly, tipping coin - specifically targeted at people that are new to crypto and excited at the chance to mine a few thousand coins on their laptops and gaming gpus.  All these people over on /r/dogecoin spreading fear about a simple hard fork are either retarded/uninformed or are invested heavily into ASICs (more likely the ladder).  Oh well, in the end it will probably be great for DRK, because there will be throngs of GPU miners looking for somewhere to go, and this will coincide with the dead heat of the summer in the northern hemisphere (making x11 the obvious winner).  More DRK miners = lower supply = higher DRK price.  I started mining DOGE on day 1 and really like their community so it is kinda bitter sweet tbh. :/
