Todays activity shows that speculators are interested in DRK as well. It will be great if this time pumpers will finally pump something usefull, not ordinary shitcoin
Maybe it has also to do with the expectation on the masternodes payments? Minimum investment for each node is 1000 DRK.
Wonder when there will be an update on that topic (see my question above in this thread)

That's what happens during price action like this.

Go to darkcointalk.org if you seek answers

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html
"darkcoind masternode list | grep ' 1' | wc -l"

Chaplin, you might be the man to ask. When tying to start up the master node I keep getting password incorrect. My password is right , any ideas what i can do? or what the cause is?

1. check version
Code:
darkcoind getinfo
{
    "version" : 100400,
    "protocolversion" : 70014,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 1000.47383059,
    "blocks" : 57990,
    "timeoffset" : 0,
    "connections" : 45,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 727.93896359,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1396965197,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "mininput" : 0.00001000,
    "unlocked_until" : 0,
    "errors" : ""
}
2. darkcoind getinfo will show you "unlocked_until" : 0, (if you have encrypted wallet)
3. use following cmd to check password(used when encrypt wallet)
Code:
darkcoind walletpassphrase <passphrase> <timeout>
4. check darkcoind.conf, should have 'masternode=1'

Hi, is there any update on the payment schedule of the masternodes?
Also posted a message with this question on https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-update-masternode-requirements-masternode-payments.225/page-3
It looks like my masternode is running according the output in the log file
But there is little or no information about the payment (except what is explained in https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-update-masternode-requirements-masternode-payments.225/
Any update on this would be appreciated

will help you.

Darkcoin is a good BTC safety play for the uncertainty that remains in China and while the rest of the world buys out the Chinese, plus the MTGox administrators of their bitcoins

...aaaaand another exciting day in DRKland has begun Cool

Now seriously some of these BTCs can't be legit. Earlier the price was 0.0039 both Mint and Cryptsy... a guy comes along at Mintpal and throws like 20-30 BTC buy order at 0.0045. Why would anyone do that if they had actually acquired their BTC in legitimate ways? It's an insta-loss of 10%... He would still get his DRKs if he put the buy at 0.0041. I sold everything I had at Mintpal on him and rebought at 0.004 a few seconds later.

Thread looks more and more on the trollbox. Serious questions keeps unanswered.

Have some patience. Evan(eduffield), the only person that can truly answer your question, is likely sleep given the time in America.  His last update was a few days ago where he mentioned payments will be tested on the testnet soon. Check his post history for the exact wording.

If I had to guess based on past Darksend feature updates and the tone of his post I'd say look for RC2, which should have the payments implemented, in 7-10 days. But that is just a guess...

Maybe, maybe not. Like Alex explained a few posts up, DRK is targeting a key market inefficiency, anonymity, which could easily grab a few percent of the total crytpo marketcap.  Darksend, which will enable anonymity, is getting very close to release and those who are smart will hold. DRK is not your classic pump and dump coin. There is innovation here...

I think payments are further down the line although he already posted a sshot from the testnet on the split payment of the mining reward (90% + 10% to the darksend node, with the help of a "voting system" for anti-rigging purposes where one makes bogus darksends to his node in order to get the mining payment).

They could also just not care about a short term loss. There is no doubt this price will fly a lot higher after RC2 so in the long run their buy was completely reasonable.
