Looks like btc-e is delisting some low volume coins. I think it's a good sign they are doing any movement.
Isn't it a good time to send them some emails about adding DRK?

I already contacted support about adding Darkcoin for trading, waiting response.

I'll give you 20 dark if they actually add it.

BTC-E is Litecoin territory, they would most likely never add Darkcoin until LTC falls to nothing.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Agree with this.

What's the point anyway? DRK is on one of the best exchanges, BitFinex. Finex is also in the right part of Asia where LTC has most of its trade volume.

What is needed is a rocket up DRKs' arse to get the price and volume going.

The person who said this on twitter didn't back it up with a source but said that the Bitfinex CTO was considering removing Darkcoin unless it reaches certain milestones or something? Any truth whatsoever to this? The volume is just so damn low and we don't have margin trading available either. You can bet your ass that if margin trading was enabled we would see some fireworks.

Hello again.

I'm a small miner with only 23.5KH/s (4 GPU). I'm mining for the fun of it, not to get rich. I know it's not possible.
I'm currently mining on xpool, and renting my rig on betarigs. (renting brings more than mining myself).

I wanted to try solo mining. is that more profitable?
And, I'm using BAMT, poolmanager with sgminer. can I use the same system for solo mining too? I'd like to have betarigs and when not rented mine solo. what software should I install?

Cant mix since half a year thats just fact, fastest mixing was somewhere around mid 2014.
Setting up a masternode is peace of cake.
Mixing on main net is close to impossible, just paying endless fees 0,1 Drk(luckily it is not 200 $ worth).
Was hopping with v 11 there is some progress. Why masternode owners are not updating(only 50% uptodate)?
If we cant anonymis in 1 hour for a decent fee its not a good product period.
Fix that users will come.
Anyone tells you darksend is properly working, it is not im around here since beginning... The only thing that is quite good working for now is masternode block reward payment.
True story.

True story.

Well, I recently (Friday) mixed my coins (just over 200) at 3 rounds and it went quite fast.  Then yesterday, I decided to up the rounds to 8.  So I upped it to 8, and the progress bar showed I went down to 45 or so completed, looks good.  But it didn't move from there.  My computer went down (lost power) and I just restarted it.  I started the wallet up again, and started DarkSend.  Right now, I see I'm in the queue; submitted to a masternode.  We'll see how it goes I guess.  I'll report back if it's moving.

It's true that sometimes the mixing gets stuck for some reason.  Often, restarting will fix it.  It can be that someone pulls out from a mix, and that the abort causes a hiccup?  I don't know.  But I do think it most often works smoothly and that having your coins pre-mixed and ready for use is in fact over all a working system.  Even if it takes 7 hours to do.  As long as you don't need to accept 14000 coins, then spend them immediately.  If that were the case, the mixing wouldn't help much anyway, as the amounts would correlate.  The times needed to mix should get faster as more people use the function.  I suspect people are still to wary to try it out.  Only a few of us actually are using the function still.

Still, if you're not in a hurry, I think the mixing happens fast enough.  Especially with the new feature where the wallet is unlocked for mixing only, so you don't have to fear having the wallet sit open to the world for hours at a time.  I like that.

So I guess I'm partly disagreeing.  Yes, mixing can get stuck and you have to restart.  No, I don't see a failure if it takes the wallet 7 hours to mix.  It's a one time process that can usually be done while you sleep Smiley

1. If you haven't updated within 48hrs you should get kicked off the network / stop getting paid. Provide the service or go away... Smiley
2. It would be great if mixing was ON, always, with fully mixed wallets continuing to act as mixing liquidity providers.

It should encourage people to update not vice versa.
Since darkcoin is all about privacy mixing should be always ON. There is other wallet (darkcoil I believe) for those who don't like privacy

I had been having enormous trouble mixing up until v11. With v11 mixing has been incredibly fast, I am extremely pleased as an investor but would also be happy even if I was trying to only use the service and move on. I did have some issues with it getting stuck and have to -zapwallettxes, and one evening i was in a loop of getting hit for .1s for a bit. But to be honest I really do not care about those at the moment because mixing is lightning fast, finally. I think that guy is confused and I am confident the other two hangups will get taken care of pretty quick. Really nice job devs.

Wish I had a spare number of DRK around 500, I would be a liquidity provider, as it is currently I have like 38 DRK left over from making Masternodes Tongue

The reason there is no liquidity is the price is too low.... Simple solution to the problem...
