How long do "darksend denominate" transactions take to confirm? Should I do anything if it has been sitting in that status for 20 min?
nevermind, went through!
Feel totally free to ignore this advice, but declaring when you are mixing compromises your own anonymity, which you may or may not care about, but since you are more identifiable it also weakens the anonymity of the people you are mixing with. Considering i am fairly sure no single person owns 1500 masternodes it is a very small point, but it looks like I am the guy who is pointing it out this time around. Not telling you what to do though, stick your dick in the mashed potatoes for all i care. The more you know! I'm just mixing for fun...so no real problem there. I'm sorry if I compromised anyone else..won't do it from now on. On another note, DirectBet wasn't good to me today

As I understand it, usually when you give humans the option of choosing something "random" its actually a contrived algorithm to appear random to us. True random seems fake to humans because it has occurrences of lots of repeat numbers and weird shit like that, and since we are evolved from apes our brains were totally not needed in that category they short circuit and it doesn't appear random to us. Something like that!

4k pages in, 1 year old and a thing of beauty. That's actually a thing of horror. Old versions need to get booted. Jesus christ people, update your nodes! Price is looking good right now, don't want to start speculation but I wouldn't be surprised to see 800-900K soon. The timing of this rise is pretty close to perfect and in sync with the releases. Darkcoin Core nudged us up a bit more and we're feeling the effects now and when InstantX hits... chances are we rise some more indeed.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

TL;DR -- Promoting DRK's anonymity feature as closed doors/windows/etc to keep things private still invites the falicious "you should have nothing to hide" argument. Privacy is an inherant component of any truly fungible currency. Promote the fungibility and people will simply use it, no questions asked--and none needed!
(sorry for the long first post. I've been lurking here since page 1000 and finally just registered so I can contribute)
My Dear Bridgewater, it is a joy to have you aboard--what an excellent 1st post! While I have been touting the privacy virtues of DRK, (and in the development/charitable circles I work in this is still legit), your point is well taken. For general marketing, you are, of course, correct; privacy trumps anonymity, but fungibility beats them both in terms of marketability. After reading your post, this is obvious. I am somewhat embarrassed to say I had not noticed this before. It is an honor to make your virtual acquaintance. I look forward to hearing more of your wisdom. Strix

Jesus christ people, update your nodes! 11.0.10 Core - All UsersDownloads: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/0-11-0-darkcoin-core-release.3601/page-12#post-37320Darksend users please update and remix your coins to try this and improve your anonymityNearly perfect darksend ( https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin/commit/bbd869589cb08945680627d60c5c091cbd2e8208). - Found the collateral issue that's been causing users to get charged when they shouldn't be. Now collateral should be charged in about 1 in 40 sessions. - Improvements to DS anonymity - no change will ever be returned to a user in a pool. - DS Anonymity improvements for smaller wallets (will have a positive effect on all wallets though) - DS should also be much faster at mixing - EXACT DS anonymitizing amounts are now supported (UdjinM6) - There's a known issue anonymizing small amounts of DRK, try larger amounts if you have any problem (UdjinM6 is working on this) Performance improvements- Found the top 5 reasons why performance is suffering for the Darkcoin client and fixed them. Now performance should be similiar to Darkcoil unless you're running Darksend mixing (DS is intensive on the CPU) InstantX - I'm officially moving onto finishing implementation of InstantX, expect more great things in the near future Yes upgrade your MN guys!!! some still in 0.10.x.xWe are on 0.11.0.10 now!

I am somewhat embarrassed to say I had not noticed this before. It is an honor to make your virtual acquaintance. I look forward to hearing more of your wisdom. Strix I concur Strix. Your post Bridgewater is probably the best "1st posting" I've ever read. Like many people, I've been concerned for some time of the difficulty of explaining to average Joe why privacy in financial transactions is fundamentally important. For the bulk of us here that have been around the higher level philosophical debate on the encroachment of government and big business into our everyday lives, we're already reasonably well versed in what that's all about and why taking action to achieve financial privacy is actually taking steps towards arresting the descent into totalitarianism. But a regular citizen who's completely bought-in to the rhetoric and hyperbole that's now pumped into the masses 24x7 that they're somehow "bad" if they want to hide their financial transactions, will likely fight anything they perceive as being nefarious and with potential for criminal intent (and, of course, you no doubt will have read the many for and against arguments for a name change for Darkcoin - an aspect that's intimately linked to this same issue too). However, if we divert the entire argument away from "everyone has a right to financial privacy" because, although perfectly true, it won't stand-up within the current fear-based mental climate, to "it's imperative for fungibility; to be able to trust units of the currency are free from suggestion of being tainted, illicit or dirty" then we've tapped in to a far more fundamental basis for establishment of a truly workable and lasting currency. I'd be pleased to hear more of your thoughts and how this concept around fungibility (and the explanation of it) might play out.

Getting conflicted transactions. If i load up wallet and send one tx, its fine. Try to send second and its a conflicted transaction. -zapwallettxes erases the conflicted transaction, then I can send one, next is conflicted. I think? Gonna stop trying to work around it before I ruin something.
edit: forgot to mention i also tried re-downloading the blockchain which didn't change much. But, these new windows zip files have all these extra files, could it be related to downloading the blockchain using a 32 bit at one point, and then trying to run on a later 64 bit client? the newer releases have included both 64 and 32 bit and i havent been paying much attention to that.
