This rise is completly faked, very dangerous to trade in.At some point the dump will start,be wise and dont buy now.

Dude, Darkcoin used to be more than 10$ a piece and at that time we had only a fraction of today's development. Yes, we had some green candles last couple of weeks but we are still not even at 2$ per coin and you are already panicking and wanna sell? Be my guest. Let the natural selection do its work Cheesy

I disagree with this being faked.  This is new money.  However the risk of dump is there regardless of the course of the rise.

What are your reasons for thinking this is faked?

EDIT:  The Bot that was fillings its own sells was weird but that fake volume disappeared over the weekend.

I have no idea what's going on with the trading over the last day or two, but I've moved both walls up another pip to 0.0072 now, so that they stay visible on the charts, therefore if the price does get dumped here then it won't be falling further than this level at least.

i dont panic and i will never selll my coins below 0.25 period,i'm just saying the trading volume so weird the past days,if you look at the charts you can see clearly manipulation going on.
I'm beginning to wonder why this happens, maybe it has something to do with minning becomming non profitable when BTC goes down so much,16nm production scale is delayed by 6 months minimum(bad for BTC Asics and Nvidia/AMD Gpu's)witch means still large power bills to pay and difficulty goes up to much.

Fake or not, the price hasn't been this high since November 9th. ASIC operators are shit out of luck (and deservedly so if you ask me), but GPU farmers are welcome to point their hashing power into our network if they're pissed off by the BTC-price OR the ASICs.

I don't know what you mean by "Manipulation" and "fake rise". For every sell, there is always buyer and the other way around. "fake rise and manipulation" accusations would only be relevant for day traders. If you are a long term investor then you should not be even looking at charts now. You should patiently wait for the next bitcoin bubble which will drag all the leading altcoins with it.

It has nothing to do with mining. There was a bot buying and selling the same increment of coins about every 30 minutes. Why, who knows. Could have been driving up activity volume, but it's no different then what happens with LTC (a lot of the volume is coins moving back and forth on no-fee exchanges). Even disregarding the back and forth "fake" volume, there were plenty of substantial buys that have took us higher than the price area of the "fake" volume. Further, any one that wants out has the luxury of selling in to Otoh's wall.

Then you might as well axe a bunch of Litecoin's volume as well and even some BTC volume on exchanges with no fee.

You can sit and watch the Chinese exchanges wash trade all day. BTC is the worst for volume wash trading

I have no idea what's going on with the trading over the last day or two, but I've moved both walls up another pip to 0.0072 now, so that they stay visible on the charts, therefore if the price does get dumped here then it won't be falling further than this level at least.

Appreciate it! Smiley

I am not even sure if Chinese exchanges' volume is real. It is important to understand that the numbers we see in the exchnage accounts are not the indication of the possession of the real coins. For example, An exchnage owner can create an account for himself and add some fake balance and start trading with it. Since they are not paying any fees, it is very easy for the exchnage operators to manipulate the price and make huge profits out of it. Hope my point is understood. There was a well written article about it but unfortunately could not find it. If anyone knows what I am talking about and read that article, please share it here. Thanks.

Wash volume = fake volume. In terms of China I'm fairly sure they're all running fractional reserve. We could still be in the high three figures if China didn't keep creating coins out of thin air.
