Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I think polycoin is telling the truth.  Look here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=249302   on May 9th, 2014.

X11coin aka XC was made by loljosh. Some of you may know him, some of you may not. Anyway, he's paid to make alt coins(see his thread)

Some coins he has made are: Synccoin, Cinni, Whitecoin, and X11coin.

Those coins have been made by 1 person, loljosh, as the devs themselves(claim to be devs) dont have any understanding of the actual coding, check their history posts as well, they never answer direct questions about anything technical..

I'm sorry for stakeholders/bagholders on those coins, but x11coin is just another coingen coin if you mean, with just advanced features. (coingen is a website that creates alt coins for 0.1 btc, loljosh makes better alt coins for 0.4 btc)

Polycoin makes a claim with no screenshots. His accusation for now is all smoke and mirrors. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Yeah. I'm calling the -16 Trustable fud-spreader on his accusation. Post the screen shot or shut the fuck up.

Does this mean he has good enough vision to read the darkcoin whitepaper and copy peoples ideas?

I own 4-5X as much DARK as XC, but the FUD on both sides has got to stop. Evan Duffield should lead the way and show some class by publicly apologizing for contributing (very foolishly) to the fray and harming both coins. It won't take long for the coins to recover once the FUD war settles down, but without a ceasefire you will see people drawn off to other coins entirely. In other words, when a Dark partisan snipes at XC, he's not getting converts to Dark, he's driving people off to some quieter corner of altcoinland. Stop shooting yourselves in the foot folks!

I love how XC is all of a sudden a victim in all this.  Roll Eyes Enough of this public apology and other garbage. How come you guys never came to defense of Evan when people have been openly calling him a scammer for 5 months ?

Whatever the case maybe even the developer of XC is publicly slinging mud on Evan  Roll Eyes Evan will not stoop to his level. Funnily enough Dan is showing as a 2nd level connection for my linked in profile. I am going to find out why he is going about things this way.

Quote
and for the record, this is only a small piece of my background...  I saw the opportunity and the scam of DRK, 1.5Million pre-mine? the air drop?? ... so I decided to build a product based on a vision and I have the experience across the various markets to make this work and bring it all together.. mobile, Point Of Sale, ATM, NFC/RFID..etc

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=600706.msg7017281#msg7017281

Look back in this thread, it was XC that started crapping all over when people justifably questioned the PoW being copied, the fake network hashrate (never reproduced on any other coin  Roll Eyes), the closing on PoW abruptly and some know scammers posting with 10-12 post counts. It is going to rob a lot of newbies of their BTC and deservingly so.

It is very unfortunate that the hardfork didn't go as planned, however a lot of positives came out because of that and the team is only going to get better.

FINAL WORD: Please take XC topics to XC thread.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

After four solid months of successful crypto mining and trading, it no longer makes economic sense to keep my rig running; the power costs aren't the problem, the reward is. My 'stash' has grown enough to the point that, according to Coinwarz, I would have to mine with my rig (at current difficulty levels, haha ya right) for 2,000 days to reach my current DRK/BTC balance.
I'll still keep my rig pointed at the various Dark pools for 'added network security' (even though I'm a drop in the bucket), but I'm not expecting it to increase my holdings like it used to.

Anyhow, THIS is where the masternodes will become the next logical step for miners, such as myself, who own mining rigs which are now obsolete but don't want to invest in the next phase of mining equipment but do want to continue earning Dark. And since Evan/Kyle increased the block reward for masternodes to 20%, it's now an investment that's on-par with buying a supped-up 'next phase' mining rig.

But unlike a mining rig, the masternode investment will potentially appreciate in value. Genius, Evan, genius.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough Dark to start a masternode (yet), so I'll have to get some BTC on Coinbase (any issues I should be aware of using them?) and convince the wife first that Bitcoins aren't illegal or bad, and second, that Bitcoins are technically bad and Darkcoins are good.
